Left the dealer a couple of hours ago. I still had another decent sized APIM update to do but FDRS said the battery SOC was too low (33%) despite sitting on a 25a ford battery tender the entire time. So assuming it was talking about the hybrid battery?

Most of the time during the KOER steps of the updates, the engine was off and running off the hybrid battery the entire time.

Will leave it on my tender overnight and hopefully the 30 miles of driving to/from the dealership will recharge it enough to continue updating.

I am on a much newer version and revision now and blue cruise prep update did succeed and I have hands free driving enabled in features and sync info, however lane centering assist is still not available so blue cruise still doesn't technically work.

Spent 5ish hours today doing various GWM, TCU, and some APIM updates that were 5gb however it must need more updating to catch up with wherever the IPC/IPMA is since I have not seen any new updates for those while going through APIM/GWM versions.

So far the new features I have now are video in motion for the bed camera, and full screen carplay, both of which are big features I was looking for. But since lane centering assist still doesn't work, I don't get bluecruise or even normal functionality of lane centering
You should be updated enough to receive OTAs, sounds like your truck was stuck. BCM/GWM/APIM will all update in time.

Can I still go back and do the updates manually? I just want to get functionality back of the lane centering assist so that and bluecruise actually work, I imagine OTA’s won’t be very fast either

ABS / PSCM / IPMA are the BC modules that need to be updated. What happened to it? You have a 21, you probably expired by now but should have been offered a $600/3yr plan as well as a 1yr/$0 plan.

I believe you still have at least 2 more apim updates, and in that timeframe are the big blue cruise updates, including lane centering updated as well. You're getting much closer!

Were you wearing your seatbelt when trying lane centering and BC?

Yes I was
Config seems to be correct for BC. It is reporting a lost comms code between the SCCM and IPMA, but the note from Ford says if it affects anything, it will prevent auto high beams from working. Give me a bit to check the config a bit more and see if I find anything.

Lane centering worked before?

Edit: Never mind......so lane centering has never worked on your truck?

@booostin I think I found it. Do you have FORScan? Make this change:

706-01-01

xExx xxxx xx--

Your truck shows an A there now. An A there means LCWA is not enabled. I believe LCWA is lane centering with assist.

Interesting. The lane centering worked fine when I first got the truck. It was updating the IPMA originally that caused the disconnect and it hasn't worked in the last 3ish weeks while waiting for the first APIM update to kick off. The only FORscan thing we changed was disabling the double honk when exiting the truck running with the keys. Should I keep proceeding with updates before changing that in FORscan?

No, I would address the lane centering asap. If it worked before, it should work now and after the updates are complete. Maybe the IPMA update you did messed up the config somehow, or the BC prep kit thing did. Not sure, but my truck has an E there. I compared the ab data on your truck to mine in the IPMA, PSCM and SCCM and that's the only thing I see that didn't line up.

@booostin I did some more digging and it seems like an A there is correct. Not sure why my truck is showing an E when I pull the a/b data from Ford. I will plug into my truck tonight when I am home from work to verify I do have an A there. I'm stumped as to why your lane centering does not work.

Gotcha thanks for checking that out. I’m assuming when we initially did that IPMA update it must’ve updated it to a newer version that is still causing some sort of disconnect with the SCCM or APIM. I lost the functionality after doing that big 2-3 hour IPMA update and I still have more APIM and GWM updates to continue, just couldn’t proceed yesterday with the lower state of charge on the battery. Doing about 3-400 miles of highway driving today so it should hopefully charge it back up. Just want to manually update the truck until I get that functionality back which should also enable BC to work properly too.

Yea, it is possible the GWM needs to be at a higher version to be fully compatible with the newer IPMA software. I think the better plan now is to go ahead and finish the updates and if the issue persists, we will troubleshoot from that point on.

Very possible! I will be out of town all day, might be able to do a couple updates in the late afternoon otherwise I will have to go back tomorrow and update to a version where those modules can talk to each other. I see the lane centering with hands free enabled under the cruise control features but yeah one of these modules is still too far behind to communicate with the IPMA it seems. The car will still brake and adjust for traffic, just no steering assist whatsoever other than vibration and pulling you back into the lane if I wander over a lane marker.

Lane centering on my 2021 J1 got broke for a while as well because the IPMA/PSCM/IPC/GTW versions were not all synced up. I would finish updates before pouring over asbuilt values.
