Thanks so much to @Jesse-Infotainment ! Got me quickly sorted out with the last IPC update through forscan and now have fully functioning blue cruise and all other features! Only 3 1/2 weeks and 15 ~ hours of update hell but we are finally out of the woods, thank god for forums and thank you for...
Interesting, I guess I will just have to wait for Jesse's intervention to finish the last updates. No other updates other than the 2 pictured above and IPC / IPMA are still in need of updating as lane centering assist / BC does not function. Everything else is great though.
That’s a bummer, was hoping FDRS would get me through all of this. We have Forscan here but not sure where to start with side loading the IPC update through that.
Disconnected the battery, deleted the VIN in FDRS. And still only 2 options here. They both said run instead of download, but I downloaded the PSCM update before taking the photo.
I think I did one IPC update 2 days ago but nothing else has popped up other than those 2 modules. Currently have the battery disconnected and going to delete the VIN in FDRS and see if that pulls any new modules for me. Otherwise I may be stuck here?
Continuing updates today. Now on APIM revision 1049, only updates available are ACM, and PSCM. I ran PSCM 3-4 times over and am out test driving and still no lane centering assist available.. guess I need to continue updating PSCM? Frustrating that you can’t see the versions in the update...
Very possible! I will be out of town all day, might be able to do a couple updates in the late afternoon otherwise I will have to go back tomorrow and update to a version where those modules can talk to each other. I see the lane centering with hands free enabled under the cruise control...
Gotcha thanks for checking that out. I’m assuming when we initially did that IPMA update it must’ve updated it to a newer version that is still causing some sort of disconnect with the SCCM or APIM. I lost the functionality after doing that big 2-3 hour IPMA update and I still have more APIM and...
Interesting. The lane centering worked fine when I first got the truck. It was updating the IPMA originally that caused the disconnect and it hasn't worked in the last 3ish weeks while waiting for the first APIM update to kick off. The only FORscan thing we changed was disabling the double honk...
Can I still go back and do the updates manually? I just want to get functionality back of the lane centering assist so that and bluecruise actually work, I imagine OTA’s won’t be very fast either
Left the dealer a couple of hours ago. I still had another decent sized APIM update to do but FDRS said the battery SOC was too low (33%) despite sitting on a 25a ford battery tender the entire time. So assuming it was talking about the hybrid battery?
Most of the time during the KOER steps of...
I understand thanks for letting me know. When I first started diving into this update nightmare, we did successfully update the IPC through usb and that took maybe 2-3 hours or something. Is there another update I will need to do for that module or should that be good now?
Will do! APIM update just finished and unlocked another GWM and IPC update. Will continue to push through these 1 at a time until I’m fully updated. Revision number is also 473 instead of 415 so we’re slowly but surely getting there.
back at the dealer now running more updates. Looks like it will let me re-run an APIM update and hopefully that will unlock more modules. The only other options are for audio control module and power steering module
Ah okay I gotcha, it's possible I may have to restart FDRS or something and will see those new updates. If it says run will that reinstall the update or the next version? That didn't seem clear to me but I will go back tomorrow and do more updates.
So I went back to the dealer and borrowed my friends FDRS. I deployed a few more USB updates for the APIM, GWM and TCU. My revision number is now 415, however blue cruise prep kit update does not work as it says all modules are not updated. There were no more updates available under sw updates...
