The notice sent out by Ford specifically said this could not be retrofitted. I don't know where some people come up with this stuff.and some say it’s a chip that will be provided later though a simple chip will not likely restore the Screen appearances.
Based on the discussion here I can see why: it sounds like it's several modules and parts that would involve taking apart the trim from the dash to the upper cab corner.PRODUCT OFFERING CHANGES

P.S.: They are finally fielding the real question there with the FAQ.
I'll spit the hot take and ask "Why?"
Do people with less than Assist 2.0 with realize they'd have to pay for the Nav service after 90 days to get guidance to a destination? Do people with Assist 2.0 realize they'd have to pay to keep the map from going obsolete, or to get routes that take into account traffic, after 3 years?
You can download a ton of offline map data with very little storage to your phone nav of choice and be set.
This whole thread is actually making me realize I might have just wanted the $200. Could have put that towards a MagicBox or something like it and it would just act like a built in computer.
XM, well yeah, If you really want XM I guess there's no other way to integrate, as I hear the app isn't the best.
Oh, that's cool! I would have hoped, but you never know. Glad to have the verification. Also when you use CarPlay or android auto it stops using the phones gps and changes to the trucks signal
