Now if I could just get a solid answer about the Tow Tech package...
I believe that will be safe too. The ordering restriction was done such that new orders could not be made, and we now know how they notify when they have to CUT a feature from a build, like they have the Park Assist.

I don't do FordSpeak well, so I will only share my actual experience on this matter. I have a retail order with a blend date of 03/15/22. The vehicle has been assembled (per modules and Fordpass info) but still shows as 'in production'. A new window sticker came out on 3/22/22 and it shows the $365 credit for Park Assist Removal. Mine is a Platinum 701A, park assist was supposed to be included. Ford really needs to get it's s--t together, it's a mess.
This was no surprise. That's exactly what they said would happen in the docs and notices linked above.

The news already broke that Ford had almost 40 suppliers fail to deliver as promised. What are they supposed to do to keep the line moving? It's a shit show, but laying this completely at Ford's feet is misguided. Can't get blood from a turnip.

And before anyone brings it up: yeah, supplier diversification would be a great thing. But that lowers efficiency and increases cost-of-goods since you have to spread out your purchase orders across multiple companies. Anybody who has a retirement account can't wag a finger at corporate America for driving profit; where do you think your compounding interest comes from?

Understand the issue with suppliers, but in the interest of the customer, Ford should be reaching out to every customer that has an order they wish to schedule and ask the customer what they want to do. Basically no communications and yanking the option on somebodies order is not customer service.

My sentiments exactly. I understand supply chain issues, they are all around us. The piss poor communications to the retail customer is clearly a failure on Fords part.

This is a disappointing development. The truck that I ordered versus the one I will (hopefully) get will be stripped of a lot of features.

You would think Ford would ask if you want to delay your truck or not, rather then just forcing the build change on you.
I read it as the feature is no longer available. Period.

So you could take delivery of your order without it or not buy the truck but they won't be adding it in the future so there is no point to delay for it.

I don’t see how they can’t leave the wiring and everything else for this feature to allow chip implementation later on once available.

Very disappointed as I just received the window sticker for a previously ordered Platinum on Jan 24, 2022, before the 2/15 price increase. Active Park Assist has been removed and a credit reflects on the sticker. (Blend date 4/14.)

I was under the impression having read that Ford would be putting these chips back in at a later time. Is this not happening?

Confused here as well

Got a build date for 6/27 on a 502a with Co-Pilot Active 2.0. Have not received any communication from Dealer at all, and only the email from Ford with the date.

Is the Park Assist and/or other features going to be removed? What component would allow them to produce a truck that has Active 2.0 but not Park Assist, or is the whole Active package at risk?

Also had spray in bedliner and wheel well liners and other things on the list. Is it possible that the truck will just show up with features missing with no communication ahead of time?

Thanks!

Has anyone figured out if the Park Assist can be added? I have a 22 PB 701A 6 sensors in each bumper, BlueCruise, 360 cams etc. The Park assist button is on the dash. The vehicle obviously has an IPM for the cameras and BlueCruise use. I saw in Forscan the options exist to enable park assist, is it just a software issue or is it really missing a module?
