It can tell it there is movement in the vehicle. Like a motion detector on your home security system

Got it. I’m ok with that then. If someone smashes a window it’ll go off then, correct?

It has a host of sensors for shock, movement, etc but yes

I just got my order summary from the dealer and noticed it was removed. What the @#@#$ is that, I thought. Thanks everyone for the explanation. It's something I could care less about so no big deal... but $50?

Now that I think about it a bit I believe it's an absolutely essential part of every vehicle. if Ford is going to remove it I should think such an essential feature is worth more than $50. I should see at least $1000 off the price... don't you think? (LOL)

2022 Ford F250 Super Duty Crew Cab Lariat Tremor
So I’m new here and I was doing some researching as I just signed the paperwork for my 2022 F250 Super Duty Lariat Tremor 6.7. It’s going to be here next week. Anyhow there was this separate disclosure form I had to sign stating what wasn’t going to come with my truck…and what would be retro fitted. This advanced security feature was one of the options that said it wouldn’t be included (also on the window sticker -$50) and they’re saying it’s a chip thing. Since they discounted it there’s no mention of it being retro fitted so maybe there is a way once it’s back in stock?

I also was informed that the Lariat 250 badges by the door & Power stroke emblem may be blank/not on the truck until stock arrives to retrofit…I have other pictures of vehicles that dealers sent me this week that came in and they had them so maybe I’ll have them.

Another thing I won’t have is the 3 months free LTE subscription and I can’t remember if I’ll be able to get the lte at all which I won’t ever get anyway because I have a phone with hot spot but still.

The last thing and I’m not sure if this is only applicable to platinum and king ranch is it said “Lower lumbar AND massage function will not be included” I test drove a lariat the other day at the dealer that just came in and it had all the chair knobs but I didn’t play with them. The salesman said that it had the lumbar adjustment so it’s just confusing if that might be missing just the lumbar or is the missing aspect just applicable to the higher models and a combined feature they won’t have.

Anyhow kind of annoying and I’m hoping maybe the sensor feature can be added later but I agree too that $50 off only seems out of whack.

I’m still super psyched for the truck and the comments about the sensors make a good point but it’s nice to have since I’m paying $119,000 when all said and done financed…
