Charging system service soon

I ran my home off of my Powerboost truck for 4 days and now I’m getting this message on the dash Charging system Service soon. Any idea what the problem is if there is a problem. My dealer says I shouldn’t have ran my home off my Powerboost truck. That isn’t what it was made for.

I got that message when I took the battery cable off the under hood battery as a (failed) way to keep the truck from being started with a stolen key. Maybe it’s a loose cable or low battery.

Your dealer is a moron. Try updating your profile info with your truck details as there wasn't a PB model with the year or 2.7L engine.

Thanks everyone. I have an appointment with my dealer Monday at 8 o’clock. I’m sure they will find the problem if there is one. Like they say not my problem. I really don’t care what happens to it for 3, 36 and after that I’ll buy a new one.

The dealer found a TBS 24-2295 to update the BCM software to fix this problem in models 2021- 2024.

This is a replace the battery fix... I believe it won't fix anything... just delay the obvious: Go out and split for a non-Ford battery...

They helped me and gave me free oil changes for a couple of years for my trouble. an actual person eventually called and emaile, so not a bot.
