2021 Lariat 3.5 Ecoboost Since it's been freezing last few days thought I'd use remote start. When using Ford Pass and key fob the only thing that comes on is rear window heater. I've went into settings and set at both last temp and automatic but still can't get wheel, seats and heater to come on. Any ideas what I could try? Thanks, Tom

This is normal. Heated seats and steering only come on after you press start. How long are you running remote start before getting in the vehicle? If i rum mine for 5 minutes or more the the chill is taken out of the seat and steering wheel.

With my 2022 Lariat it remembers what was on last and then cranks everything to the max. If the heat was on (or air conditioning) it comes on full blast, the rear window/mirror heater comes on, and my heated seat (or cooling if last used) is cranked to the max. I only have the FOB remote start.

Connect up forscan and make sure they're turned on. A recent update broke something in my MME killing my HSW on remote start.

All of that comes on when I remote start my '22, either in the app or fob. Not sure what to try besides maybe factory resetting your head unit if you don't mind going back through and setting things up. Maybe someone has a better idea.

My xl doesn't have fob remote start, but I can start it through the phone app. When I do, the climate control seems to come on full blast. I guess that's the only thing that can, considering my truck does not have all the other things that can come on to warm you up.

My key fob has never worked for remote start. I have to use the app.

I have a 2024 XL and it doesn't have remote start on the FOB but I can do it through the app. My climate controls don't turn on at all and I've tried both automatic settings and changing it to last settings. Sounds like a similar issue, I saw someone in the thread recommend resting the head unit. I'm going to try that.

When I tried manually turning on the heat inside the truck, the climate controls did not work at all until I put the key in and started it all the way. Seems kind of pointless to use remote start in this case.

I've noticed that my '22 Lariat Powerboost has stopped turning on the heated seats and steering wheel this season also. I am 100% positive that it used to turn them on when remote starting with the fob or the app as I would always start the truck 5-10 minutes before heading out. While the cab wouldn't be warm, the seat and wheel were so it was fine. This season the seats and wheel do not turn on at all until I get in and press start, then they light up and turn on. They are clearly cold and not on before pressing start though. I've even tried running the truck for over 20 minutes (extended via app) and went out. The cab was slightly warm because something was on low, but the seats and wheel were certainly not on and defrost wasn't blasting like it used to.

I've tried in both auto and last used mode on the display, it doesn't seem to make any difference. I almost always leave the air on auto-high on the console.

Which FORScan option should I look at? I tried looking through the spreadsheet but am not finding anything that looks specific to seats and wheel. I'm primarily looking at the seats. Does anyone know where I should be looking at.

I noticed the exact same in my ‘23 Raptor. They used to turn on with remote start, but not this season.

I believe this is my expierience as well on my '21 XLT. Getting in after remote starting, I only see the rear window warmer on and it definitely used to have the seat on.

This has been my experience as well. Remote start (via app or fob) used to turn on heated or vented seats depending on ambient temp. I wonder if one of the recent updates removed this feature.
