Brother, just put your seatbelt on and try lane centering and BC again. If it works, welcome to the dumb ass club. ?
I have to admit I do sometimes drive without seatbelt on. Turns out I will be on the road today in about an hour. I will make sure to have belt on and see what happens.

I should have thought of this. OpenPilot will not work without seatbelt, but it sets off huge alarm bells and tells you on the screen what the issue is. Like Jesse my seatbelt is always on before I hit the start button, even if I'm just moving around the driveway, it's just a habit. I'm blown away at how many people don't wear theirs.

I also should have as we were just discussing the topic last week. It never even crossed my mind where OpenPilot is so obvious with its alerting.

All kidding aside: I couldn't even test lane centering on the way to work because I was not able to get up to a high enough speed even well after Miami traffic hour. I get the whole safety thing and it does hit close to home based on past life experiences. But, if you saw what my commute consisted of, you'd know why I don't feel the need to wear it.

I always wear mine I didnt ever even think people dont wear theirs.. its the first thing I do when I get in. IT would definitely explain why it works for some and not others.

Ill have to look in the firmware or have someone look for me to see if that is in there.

See @superfordman is as awesome as anyone. He figured it out.

I really honestly never thought about the seatbelt..

I just aspire to be half as good as you @Jesse-Infotainment ?

Ya it surprised me too but not really totally shocked either. Figured this is something they would have coded in there from the get go but guess not.

So glad you guys figured out what the issue was with LC alerts. I'm getting ready to get my FDRS 2 day license and was going to try to get my 2021 updated. I really want the latest BC.... I'm always amazed at this forum how everyone rallies around issues..... I wish my coworkers did half as much as you guys do when it comes to issues.

not only that sometimes we unintentionally create the issues :)

@rugedraw .... how about some pictures of your commute for us country folk that don't see what big city traffic is like.

The grass really is greener on the other side. Lol I'd rather drive on a nice country back road any day over driving in this cesspool of poor driving uninsured motorists, hellish traffic, constant construction and traffic lights. Miami has many pros, but driving here is not one of them.

No surprise after the discussion throughout the day, but I figured I’d report back that Blue Cruise and lane centering are both working as expected after updating again AND wearing my seatbelt. If I take it off, back to not working, also as expected.

Glad you guys figured it out, I noticed it's not working without the seat belt a while ago but I assumed that everyone is wearing it lol.

Quick question about upgrading from 20301: will the USB that I created from FDRS for my truck work in another truck also on 20301, or is the USB drive "keyed" to a VIN when FDRS creates it? I have some friends that I want to help out, and it would be nice if I could just give them my USB for a few weeks to get them "over the hump" and then only buy one 2-day FDRS license after the truck finally decides to upgrade from USB.
