What trim levels are having trouble? I updated my friends xlt with a 2.7 yesterday. I did pscm first and that started ipma on its own. Total time just about 2 hours for those two updates. No problems at all.

Trim does not seem to matter. Trying to figure out if the update order matters. IPMA updates rolling immediately into the PSCM seem to be the most problematic. PSCM updates rolling into the IPMA (your situation) seem to be the most successful. But it’s too early to tell if this is a reliable pattern. This is a useful datapoint.

EDIT: Does you friend’s XLT have lane centering and is it working?

I did PSCM first and it automatically did IPMA, the Config failed then I did PSCM again this time it was quick and config was succesful. I then did IPMA again and it cleared succesfully.

Are the modules specially the IPMA incremental updates? What I mean about incremental is that the new updates just adds to the current version instead of erasing and installing a whole new software. Could this be happening if you go from not the previous version, the one prior to that to the current version? maybe there's some files needed that are not there because of that. Just a thought because not all my updates to the IPMA have taken as long as the first one I did. The one for 1.4 less than an hour. by the way, I'm not a expert on this stuff just trying to figure out things like all of us.

Ford has never done incremental before, I would be highly surprised if they did for this one.

I think lane centering is working but note completley sure how it is intended to work ?

Ok. This is useful. Do you remember what order you used the first time you used FDRS to update to the most recent IPMA version? It should be in your FDRS vehicle history.

Probably isn’t. I only ask because I’m still personally a little scared of FORScan Beta, which is what I expect you used to revert and roll back the first round of installs. I keep Beta around for ”in case of emergency, break glass” situations, but I remain a little concerned about relying on one software package to revert and remove absolutely everything installed by another software package, leaving nothing of the original install behind. Probably unwarranted skepticism, but for me it’s there.

IPMA then rolled in PSCM when it was done, but like other have said I doubt order matters but who knows. I may go try PSCM again then let it go into IPMA. As I did that yesterday after PSCM still showed available so figure try it again what the heck, it went through again then started IPMA again but I canceled it as didn't want to wait for anything there.

Quick question and sorry if it's been asked before: when we refer to "BBC" as the software version, is that one of the things I can see in FORScan for the IPMA? Mine below (lane centering no issues):
