To those of you who monitor the thread:

More and more trucks are getting lane centering and bluecruise broken by this new IPMA update. The percentage is small, but it's happening. I would advise anyone from updating the IPMA until further notice. Let people know who come in here asking questions about updating their trucks. At first we thought it was only powerboost, but at least one ICE truck and Lightning are also affected. Another PowerBoost that updated today bit the dust.

The Forum really needs new a pinned thread in this section "FDRS latest issues and warnings" that is maintained by someone like you, and others here. A first post only and not able to be commented on. Here could be listed current known issues, which can be removed later, or marked resolved in the post as things progress. I can think of 3 or 4 things right now that should be listed there, 1. BCM can't be installed, 2. ACM remains listed after install, and so on. Just an idea..

I wonder if the new IPMA also breaks lane centering in non-Blue Cruise equipped trucks. I have the new IPMA update (BBC, I believe) in a non-BC truck but I don’t use lane-centering. I’m almost afraid to check.

In the now illustrious history of the F150 FDRS thread, I believe this is the 3rd update that the forum members were alerted to Hold Off, until Ford figures out they have a problem with the package.

If memory serves, there was a BCM update that could potentially take out your HCM module?

There's this IPMA update.

But I can't remember the 3rd. Maybe my brain turned the BCM/HCM into 2 instances, when it was really just one.

Anyways, my real point being that sticky or not, when these things happened in the past, word spread pretty quickly and sufficiently. I don't rem too many folks stepping on a land mine that was called out.

Regardless, this forum is amazing. You fellas looking out for the collective are a treasure.

If you check please share your findings, I'm also a non-BC truck and I use lane centering.. I have the IPMA in que, but have hesitated about installing it having heard of these issues.

I'm assuming that there is NOTHING you currently are unhappy with your IPMA about?
And do we know anything about this update at all? I mean specifically. A the reason to desire it.

It's the same one that is being sent out with the official release of BC 1.4 via OTA. That I lie of, no truck that got the OTA had an issue, but there hasn't been many that got it and it's been paused over the holidays. It does have some better files in it compared to the ACJ version we've had since December of 2023 with BC 1.4. However, if someone has the older than ACJ version and wants BC 1.4, you'd have to flash this one to enable it since this replaced the stable ACJ version.

I've had it in my truck since September and it's fine, but a few unlucky souls can't say the same.

Exactly, the trucks been perfect, thus my hesitation to do any updates at all. It's my curiosity that has me interested in it. Since it's not a BC truck it's got me wondering if new precision will trickle down to the lane centering on mine. Things like re positioning when passing a tractor trailer and a little less ping ponging would be nice, but there only minor annoyances. I'm hoping Ford did there homework and did some nice fine tuning to the system.

Well shit... Guess what I just got done doing this afternoon and a couple hours before you posted this. By the time I drove home a little bit ago, there was fresh snow everywhere so I didn't expect LC to work anyways but it did see a new warning on the IPC saying LC would not function. So hopefully that was due to it not seeing any lines at all and not being totally broken now. ?

Strange enough, FDRS still had the lingering ACM and PSCM update showing even though they are done. But now PTS is still showing a IPMA update now and even shows the new -BBC IPMA strategy I just put on. So maybe by the morning I might be in for a surprise? Won't hold my breath though.

The ACM not coming off the list is old news and the PSCM not coming off is new news, but we know about it.

Yea, for sure don't hold your breathe. If you've driven the truck in the snow before and never saw that message, then it's most likely the same shit.
