You do not. I personally have either used another phone/tablet/ security camera / Remote Desktop to monitor progress to save me from walking out there 100 times. If you are checking manually I would wait at least 2.5 hours before checking.

This may be a bit of a dumb question, and forgive me if it’s been answered a hundred times, but what’s the standard process for obtaining the FDRS license and logging in now? The motorcraft service link in the OP seems to be broken now. Are there two different accounts that you have to link now? Seems like one is your ford pass account? Am I getting this right?

Knowing the answer won’t help you but since you asked so nicely it’s username and Authy code. I didn’t know this 15 min ago because I knew it wouldn’t help me but I like to help out any way I can here where others have been so helpful to me.

What are you putting for company name when you create an account? Just making something up?

And is this the same account you login with to the FDRS software with? I could’ve sworn I saw that your FordPass account was needed as well.

It’s been years since I created my account. I would start by leaving it blank and if that doesn’t work put anything.

I believe the confusion comes from there being 3 different domains involved with acquiring FDRS software, acquiring FDRS license, and then logging into FDRS with the license.

1 Motorcraftservice.com for download of software

2 www2.helminc.com for purchasing license

3 And then the SSO login for Ford in FDRS itself (I personally use the credentials I use for FordPass/Ford.com)

Folks may or may not use the same credentials when they set up these 3 different accounts.

Can be either but if you have FDRS use that it’s the IPMA Alignment option from your earlier screenshot

Thanks. While I'm waiting on the ipc/usb can you why fdrs shows CMR but greyed out and not responding. I have just about finished these 20+ updates.
I was lucky that I didn't get a PW prompt for BCM.

What concerns me is fdrs reporting ipma not responding drc. I clicked on the drc and it took me to a procedure page. Several procedures for ipma. I can get reaction to any procedure. That's where I accidentally cleared the learned values.
I remember seeing the ipma drc showing for months. No issues I had seen.

Thanks @JEB for actually answering the question. It's a NASTF username and password with VSP access level.

Finally got around to updating my “stuck” 2021. Took 2 full days, but went off without a hitch.

2 questions I’m left with:

1) Is it normal to have all these modules “not responding”? Is there a procedure to get them to respond?

2) ACM updates run through without any errors, but shows back up every time. I ran it 5 or more times and it’s still there. Not really concerned about it unless I should be. Thanks.

And lastly, I ended on Sync Version 23291 Revision 1049. Do I just have to wait for Ford to put me in line for another update?

Is it required to download the latest IDS software update for FDRS? It says I can update to IDS 130.09 but when i try to install it it says it must be installed on top of IDS 130.00 which I cannot locate? Any help is appreciated.
