Occupation
retired!
Then about 15 years ago I started studying theology and 10 years ago I was ordained a deacon in the Catholic Church.
wow.

The first time I was ready to approach discernment for priesthood, I met a gal I almost married. The second time, I met the one I did.

Celibacy was really the only thing holding me back.

And as chance would have it, I eventually encountered Byzantine Catholicism. Were either I fifteen years younger, or the changes in rules to have occurred fifteen years earlier, I would probably be an EC priest at this point, most likely at a Catholic college.

I've been approached for the diaconate a couple of times, but I just don't have that calling.

But as things work out, my son in law is currently in formation for the diaconate, with a bishop open to presbyteral formation after a rather short period.

Odd how Someone makes things work out in unexpected ways . . .

Evil lawyer.
I closed down my practice in 1994 to get my Ph.D.

But after about 12 years a as a recovering lawyer, I fell off the wagon and started suing people again.
(and the comparison is really quite apt; not nearly as tongue in cheek as when I first joked about it).

You don't happen to work at the place that put 4 wheel steering on an F150 do ya? Was curious what they did to the rear axle.

Printing and finishing. Been doing it for 44 years, 20 at my present company which has been the best. I could retire but I enjoy my job and they keep paying me to stay.

To clarify.....I wanted 'XMAILMAN" but it wasn't available. I WAS the Mailman for 31+ years. Now I'm 20+ retired. And a 50+ year Union member.
I'm a long way from retirement. ☹
