I’m right there with you. I work in a corporate HR role for a fortune 200 company. I have no say in anything. I come to work, take some zoom calls, tell some younger people what to do, then go home as quickly as I can to watch my teams on ESPN+. Have been doing the same for decades.

Can’t wait to retire, but it’s over a decade away . Guess I’ll just keep plugging away.

I took a pay cut to have okayish benefits and a life outside of work. I used to work 10-12+ daily. Now it's 8 and skate for me. I'll eventually get back to same money I was making and should still be reasonable hours.

Full time husband to my baby mama. She suffers from MS and keeps me on my toes.
Full time dad putting the kid thru college with no debt studying engineering. He is either going to save the world or destroy it. Whichever it is he will be magnificent! He wants to be an entrepreneur and we have been entertaining the automotive industry by using 3 D printing and additive manufacturing and reverse engineering and then creating parts for cars/trucks…tractors. Think of a 1960 something or other that breaks and the owner needs to repair it but no parts to be found…a lot of research is being done now.

Part time student racing the kid to see who gets their degree first! LOL. It’s gonna be him!

I pay the bills for the last 24 years managing an installation program for a large retailer. Main focus is on the contractor relationship fulfilling sales. If I’m involved on a job it’s probably just short of burning to the ground! ? seriously, fire, flood, death, drugs, guns…I’ve been in a house where I could hear the dog and see movement amongst the shhhtuff …but never seen a dog! People are crazy.

Part time forum lurker learning from all of you amazing people that keep me spending all my spare coin and time on mods…? there ain’t much after paying the school!!!

ok, what's with all the physicists around here? My undergrad was in physics, but after my naval misadventure, I never used it again. But the math background and a math. Minor sure came in handy getting a PhD in economics and statistics (not a combo, but two PhD majors)
