If you've already begun changing country codes that could be your issue, or you may just need a new GWM. When you do a module scan it helps to have the truck running as sometimes some modules won't show up otherwise.

It might be wise to PMI any module with a country code and that should revert it all to US. Always select "NO" to if the original module is installed.

Using forscan to overwrite the software on the GWM should also be tried -- haven't tried to update the firmware on the GWM w/ forscan so unsure if it's possible. Rugedraw should be able to see your part numbers with PTS for locating a replacement GWM. What module got corrupted that started all of this?
I didn’t change any country codes, you mean keep ignition and engine both on and then do a network scan?

We updated the GWM with the USB and I think something went south there, though the update was successful. It probably had some old configuration, I am sure @rugedraw knows what exactly/possibly happened.

QQ: even if we get the new GWM - won’t the same bad configuration be applied on the new module as part of PMI?

No idea what exactly has been done so I really couldn't begin to offer solutions based on what's been done.

APIM was fully updated with USB updates made by you-know-who. GWM was updated with a USB update. TCU was also supposed to be updated, but after leaving door open and truck off for ten minutes, the update would not show completed when starting the truck back up. Jesse said it was a battery issue, so the dealer put in a new battery and the same thing would happen. On August 4th or 6th, the dealer ran a GWM config and that is where everything went to shit and 4 module branches came offline. Dealer said they were done, so he picked up his truck, ordered a Mongoose and here we are.

Thanks @rugedraw

Also, I am based in UAE where OTA updates are blocked by Ford, updates can be done through dealers only and it is not a straight forward process with them to get any updates done. Most trucks here stay on the factory software.

Ask he who shall not be named for the latest GWM for it if you haven't been down that road. Was the dealer using their country code in the system (logged in w/ UAE) and could that have done something? GWM could just be dead. Might be able to forscan write the FW instead of USB -- haven't tried. If something did get sideways in the GWM, there's always the possibility that things went sideways (propagated to other modules). Did you try writing ford's copy of the asbuilt data on their servers to it? Did he forscan before trying anything? There's a copy of the asbuilt in its data files if he did.

I'd double check other modules and see if a vin or country code isn't screwing something up and got propagated out. In my playing I've seen a vin propagate to modules I didn't touch. Get the latest copy of the forscan asbuilt and compare it to fords to see what up.

My guess is that dealer would have changed country code somehow. It wouldn't match rest of truck and could be something invalid that pissed off the truck. Just a wild guess.

Apparently we can't trust dealers in any country. ?‍♂?‍♂

Has anyone seen where the SYNC MAC addresses for wireless are missing from the About Sync menu? What was the fix? I did a factory reset, and that didn't change anything. I noticed this after upgrading to the latest Sync version but it could have been like this before.

Does anyone have any ideas? Should I reconfigure the GWM with FDRS?

Basic questions I know, but you didn't say so: Have you verified that wireless is enabled and that networks can be discovered?

Yes, the wireless connection is enabled and connected, but I only see one connection. In the past, I had two, one called SYNC and the other called Flextronics. The Flextronics is no longer connected to my wireless. I do see SYNC connecting and actively passing data.

Ok, well I'm not sure why the wireless MAC isn't showing (I'll look into mine tomorrow) but you will be Able to look at your router's dhcp assignments or arp table to find the trucks wi-fi MAC.

At this stage I wouldn't do anything in FDRS; if you have FORScan, maybe reboot the GWM, TCU and APIM.

I rebooted those modules with FORScan, but there was no change. The TCU update showed up today in FDRS, so I did apply it. That also didn't fix it, but, I can say that, I'm on all the latest versions of GWM, TCU, and APIM.

I also don't know if this is really a problem.

I don't think it's a problem; I just checked mine, rev. 1049 and like you, it's not showing a wi-fi MAC address listed as "wi-fi", even though I connect successfully to my home network. I too seem to remember a separate listing for wifi MAC address ?‍♂

Yours is correct, it shows “software updates” followed by the two Mac addresses under Sync MAC Addresses. Mine doesn't show software updates and the MAC addresses. I had it in the past but it is gone now.
