I read the first 10 pages and last 20. I missed out on the 835 pages in between. Thanks for your help.
I wasn’t suggesting that you read 835 pages. I was suggesting that the thread is old and there don’t tend to be a lot of new ideas that someone else hasn’t already thought of. You’re welcome.

FYI the two door module updates that showed up (DDM and PDM) installed uneventfully on my 2021 Lariat PB. No idea what if anything they do.

That has to be the third or fourth time they've updated the DDM /PDM on the 21 trucks apparently there's something they just don't think is right. ?

Not treated the same. You can't do it without a dealer login. This is to prevent people from cloning keys to steal vehicles.

Edit: Where in FL are you?
I'm in Citrus County (West Central FL area) now. Grew up in Homestead. Are you still in Miami?

I am. I don't mind helping you, but note two things:

1) You must be the registered owner of the vehicle.

2) I've never done it before, so I take no responsibility if something goes wrong.

Mine would randomly decide it no longer wants to close the windows without them bouncing back and then you would have to reset them to get them to close all the way. Hopefully this is an update for that.

I got the PDM and DDM along with a PCM/SOBDMC combo update.

The PCM/SOBDMC update would not succeed with FDRS version 39.X.X

I had to upgrade to 40.4.1 before it would succeed.

Now I'm going to fetch the Mach-E and hope it will take the slew of updates that also dropped today and a few days ago.

That dang machine needs a 40Amp power supply to use FDRS safely. Hogg!

The powerboost far exceeds your 40amp need.

So I should hook my Powerboost battery up to the Mach-E (jumper cables) when doing updates to the Mach-E?

That would work!

And I've already charged the Mach-E from the Powerboost generator a couple of times, so precedent has been set. :)

Yeah, that's the easy way to do it. Just let the PB sit in hybrid mode using the DCDC to feed it (HVAC 5). The only update that really needs the PB is the IPMA. Most other updates you can use its baby AGM as when it's done and goes back to key-on, the DCDC is on. When it wakes back up the DCDC comes back alive charging even in accessory. (if you're doing other things it's more than enough as a 4m update finishes and you come back 15m later or so it's been charging). GWM and APIM are key-on updates so nothing there.

Don't connect it to charge the HVB while doing updates, but post charging you can plug in to charge HVB and it will charge the 12v. If you do updates and then want it topped off, slow down your charger's amperage (I know yours is adjustable). The longer it sits charging the HVB, it's also charging the little AGM. There's another big update (or may be ABS/PCM combo) that's unusually long. It's just that select few that really need aux power, or a big round of constant updates.

I put in a 40a baby anderson (inspired) connector to give it juice as it's a pain to tear it apart just to reach the batt. Just some random kit I had https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07C8B95F1

I cut those holes that are all the rage on the Mach-E forum for connecting external low voltage without removing panels.
So easy enough to put some jumper cables on in a few seconds.

Where did you pick up the covers that hide the holes from?

Thank you to all those that have contributed to this thread for making updates fairly easy and manageable. I finally took the time last night to go through the updates on my '21 PB and was able to successfully get most updates done.

I've run into an issue with my ABS controller. It has been showing DTC u3000:45 (Program Memory Failure). When I went to run the update, it fails pretty early on. Has anyone else seen this with their ABS controller? Are there any recommendations on things I could try before assuming I need a controller replacement? I am not getting any warnings or errors shown to the user, but I struggle knowing that a controller related to brakes has potential issues.
