IPC completed successfully. DTCs (and dead instrument panel) resulting from the previous failure all cleared.

I don't know what, if anything, I got out of IPC but I did see the side camera view at one point, which was my goal.

ACM still shows up as due. I've downloaded and run it multiple times. It passes its self-test after install but, after running the network check, it's still listed.

How do I get resolve the ACM loop?

It will clear on its own eventually. If you want to verify that it actually updated to give you peace of mind, use FORScan to read the software version directly from the module. Then compare it to what FDRS or the as-built on Motorcraft reports. If FORScan shows a different/higher version, then you know the update installed fine despite failing to clear in FDRS.

I have to do something in FORScan for the trailer cameras. I'll check then. Thanks.

I have 7 hours left on my subscription. Can I download an update onto a USB drive for a friend?

Nope. The update will be keyed to your VIN and it won’t install on your friend’s truck.
Actually, I have his VIN and entered it in FDRS in offline mode. It told me what could be updated. (Only APIM - it's a '16 F250.)

Is your answer the same?

Yes. You’d have to be physically connected to his truck for the manifest to reflect his VIN.

This is a long thread and many people have asked the same question. Answer is always the same.

Caveat: This is true of Sync 4 systems. Sync 3 might be different. I just saw you’re talking about a 2016.

I read the first 10 pages and last 20. I missed out on the 835 pages in between. Thanks for your help.

I found out the update can be downloaded from Ford support to a USB, anyway. I did something similar on my previous truck. It works.
