That looks better and it's where I have mine mounted as well.

I think this actually worked! My battery symbol didn't flash, but after a few minutes the low charge notification went away and it hasn't come back. Thank-you!
Charging only delayed the issue from reappearing for me. If I let the truck sit over a weekend without a charger connected, I'd come back to a battery SoC warning and all the lower power annoyances. Once I reset the BMS... I actually haven't had a warning or needed to charge the battery manually.I think this actually worked! ok folks, So I went ahead and ditched the Ford provided motorcraft battery and went to Walmart for their battery ($190 for an A7 AMG) and after 5 days now, no problems. I have a battery monitor on my battery and my app says its' 90% all the time now. I have an ipad, fuzz buster, dashcam and flashlight all hooked to power outlets 24x7. I also did the reset I posted previously. I think I am back to focusing on other things now.I think this actually worked! Anyone started any official complaints with the NHTSA? I'm surprised there is not a recall in motion. How many complaints have we all seen?I am seeing a lot of these battery discussions lately.
National Highway Transportation SAFETY Administration...They probably wouldn't consider a low life battery a safety issue. This is all on consumers accepting or rejecting inferior products.Anyone started any official complaints with the NHTSA? I'm surprised there is not a recall in motion. I myself couldn't get my last OTA update until I trickle charged my battery.
Well from what I'm reading the defective battery is causing a whole myriad of problems, affecting computer, drive train, and overall operative issues, some while people are driving down the road....National Highway Transportation SAFETY Administration...They probably wouldn't consider a low life battery a safety issue. I've actually had quite a number of signal/turn signal outages, even the license plate lights. (all of which were replacements to the OEM halogen/incandescent)Well from what I'm reading the defective battery is causing a whole myriad of problems,
Yah it's amazing all the related issues and complaints we are reading regarding this battery...I've actually had quite a number of signal/turn signal outages, even the license plate lights. (all of which were replacements to the OEM halogen/incandescent)
Turns out that my OEM battery was weak enough that the charging system was up over 15V trying to compensate. After changing the 12V primary battery to an X2 a couple of weeks ago, the battery monitor now shows a much "tighter" spread between high and low voltages, with the highs being a more-normal mid-14V range.
A weak battery is the root of all evil, not money.
You're right. Warning came back 2 days later. Basically need to connect my charger to the battery every night to avoid this....or I could buy a new battery.Charging only delayed the issue from reappearing for me. My truck was also built in April '23, and I am now on my second Motorcraft battery. My dealer replaced my original one in November. The replacement did not solve the problem. I'm going to take Gros Ventre's advice and go buy a Northstar H7 from Battery Plus.I had the 12V battery issue late January or early Feb 2024.
Dealer did a quick test on it and it passed. They then had the truck about 2 hours, ran a "rotunda" test, according to the work order, the 12V battery failed that extended test, replaced with a new battery under warranty.
So I'm at what 4-6 weeks and never an issue since.
I am seeing a lot of these battery discussions lately. Here and the other forum. I'm starting to think they had a batch of trash Motorcraft batteries.
My truck was built in April 2023, if anyone is tracking build dates....
