I think you can search my post history and I have a very very similar issue with my 6-5 downshift and sometimes 5-4. Its like a bump or jolt like you describe.
I've had the trans tech in my truck twice now, computers all hooked up, checking response times on solenoids, pressures etc and...
I think my truck had some reverberations at 75mph or so. I tried to analyze and figured it was exhaust at the right frequency. Or tires.
I think I've seen this discussed a decent amount over the years.
Funny enough I'm not sure I notice it anymore. Maybe the tire wear is enough now that it...
Very intrigued…. But….
1) $ How much we talking here? This is really the big one
2) Are we still using the 10 Speed? Cuz that is honestly, by far, the biggest gripe on my PowerBoost. If they are, they MUST improve its function and smoothness.
3) Can we please get 4A on lower trim levels? I...
I've had a few Blizzak, both the SUV ones and passenger ones. They're very very very good. The setup on an AWD Lexus crossover make that vehicle the ultimate snow car.
I THINK I slightly prefer the Continental VikingContact though. The Blizzaks were slightly better in deep snow than the...
There are load and inflation tables out there that you really have to check. The door jamb sticker, as someone pointed out above, is only for the OEM tires that came on the truck. If you change the tire type, load index, any of that sorta thing you have to check your load tables and adjust...
Never had the earlier gen F150s but I did read up on all the issues with the 3.5L cam phasers. I think several iterations of them trying to fix the issue.
My feeling being on these forums is that cam phasers seem to be mentioned very very rarely.
Is my interpretation correct that it seems the...
Will add that I put on PIAA Aero Vogue "hybrid" wipers about a month ago. Been very happy after using that Invisible Glass Glass Stripper.
I've used Bosch Icon in the past and been very happy with them. I've just heard silicone blades last longer so wanted to try silicone this time.
PIAA has...
2 things I've noticed related to this.
1) if i get in the truck and sit there awhile before I start it, it happens. I don't know if its maybe 5 minutes or so, but its consistent. I assume after whatever time limit the truck goes back into a lower power state or something.
2) I had a...
I never replied (OP here). I was able to carefully use a trim tool to remove all those panels around the window switch and the door lock.
I bought a thin felt sheet from a local craft store. One side has very light adhesive. Stuck some very small pieces of felt in the areas where I thought the...
Yeah but one of them is the "PERFORMANCE VERSION"!
Appreciate the feedback. My old cars were the metal little ball, but these looked different which is why I wasn't sure.
If you touch the rubber trim on the lower rear edge of the glass, does it stop?
I had that and I think somewhat common. Stuck some of that foamy window insulation you can buy at Home Depot under the rubber and it stopped.
EDIT: Added photo showing location
I kinda like light from sunroofs but ever since these pano roofs have become a thing my desire for them has gone way down.
My initial hesitancy was actually for accidents. Maybe I’m wrong but rolling over with an all metal roof seems better to me than same accident with the entire roof...
This seems pretty straightforward to me.
You cannot use 4H or 4L on non slippery surfaces and then start turning with them. You’ll bind up the driveline and it breaks things.
Pretty sure the owners manual makes this very clear. I believe it also says not to tow in 4H.
Very slippery snowy...
I had an issue recently: https://www.f150gen14.com/forum/threads/driver-wiper-chatter-help.44440
After using Invisible Glass Glass Stripper, my wipers are working great. If you don't figure it out,I'd say its worth the $10 to try.
Why did they get rid of it? I wasn’t set on it with mine but I honestly really love it.
Great for leaving a car for someone at airport or something and leaving key inside. Or go to beach or a hike you don’t have to take your key and drop it in the lake accidentally etc.
One of the bet Ford...
Maybe I’m being overly uptight about this but thinking of installing a Kicker Hideaway sub behind the rear seat on my Powerboost
It is powered and therefore runs to the 12V battery.
I’ve seen procedures for the Powerboost that mention disconnecting the 12V main battery, the Aux battery under...
