My brother just picked up a 25 not too long ago and the dealer said they were bringing it back on the 26’s.I thought I saw on the 26 build you can add it for 225 but didn’t know if that is dealer installed with the stick on pad or factory.

I also heard something about it coming back, may have been on one of Whiteface Ford's Facebook reels, do not remember the details. I never used the touch pad on any of my previous Ford trucks so not something I will miss if it doesn't come back.

I much prefer the 'flush mounted' factory install of the past vs the 'surface mounted' factory version of late. The former looking much better, IMO.

My '05 XLT was my first with it, I was a bit surprised at how much I came to like and use it, so ensured I got it on my later Fords (2014 Escape, '22 Lariat) and came to view it as a feature that set Ford apart from other makes.

I missed not having it on my otherwise great 2019 Honda Ridgeline (wonderful vehicle, sold only because it didn't meet my evolving towing needs).

As I’ve said on this website before, Ford could make a crummy truck and I would still buy it as long as it has the entry keypad. It is the Number 1 Ford feature. (Aside from reliability, nice appearance and great design). I’ve owned a couple GM vehicles with Star??? ( or whatever they call it). It doesn’t come close in comparison for utility.

That was incredibly dumb on ford to do away with it. When shopping for my 2023 it wasnt optional. If a truck i looked at didn't have it, it was dead to me and I moved on. My 2005 had it, my wife's two escapes have it. One code for all of our vehicles.

Now you know why there are so many new ones still on dealer lots.. Nobody wants them unless they have the keyless entry pad.

I use mine all the time..

You can add the non-stick on style to the '25 SD's, so I assume you can do the same with the F150s. Just need the pad, the B-pillar trim piece, and FORScan.

My '26 F350 has the returned pillar mounted Securicode pad. Didn't buy a '25 because it didn't, and I didn’t want the stick on garbage.

I do prefer the built in keypad in the pillar on my Expedition vs the surface mounted pillar one on my F150.

Agreed though, great feature none the less.

Didn't realize that Toyota had a keypad.

Already discussed here at length:

I bought a 2025 and skipped this feature because I didn't want the stick on.

I'm pretty sure I read somewheres that although they took it away the wiring is still in the door.

So when I get time I'd like to investigate adding the nonstick version. Even if I have to get it from a pick-n-pull junkyard type place.

But I'm still not sure if it's even possible.

Why did they get rid of it? I wasn’t set on it with mine but I honestly really love it.

Great for leaving a car for someone at airport or something and leaving key inside. Or go to beach or a hike you don’t have to take your key and drop it in the lake accidentally etc.

One of the bet Ford features I think. Can’t believe they got rid of it.
