I dont know about a bigger than 36 gal tank. But I can vouch that the 36 gal tank on my 23 is awesome. I can tow my travel trailer getting 11 ish mpg as long as I want. Im never forced to stop for fuel. I choose where to stop for fuel and usually stop to pee and get coffee and get gas when I...
This is exactly why I bought a3.5l eco and not a powerboost. So much less to go wrong.
Id check the front control arms on that dodge before you buy it...
And to be honest if I was looking for a new Ford and it wasnt available at all, id go visit the Toyota dealership and give them an honest attenpt to sell me their stolen Ford designed truck
That was incredibly dumb on ford to do away with it. When shopping for my 2023 it wasnt optional. If a truck i looked at didn't have it, it was dead to me and I moved on. My 2005 had it, my wife's two escapes have it. One code for all of our vehicles.
Here's the newest trick theyre trying to get you with. So we all know theyll try to mark up your buy rate and give you a sell rate (get pre-approved for your own financing to stop that). I was suprised when the dealer didn't mark up my buy rate (percentage rate). Hmmmmm. But they were offering...
Insane. Especially with current epa leadership, regs should be getting rolled back. Thank God i bought a 23. If I bought a 26 at 60,001 miles the sawzall would be getting broke out to remove said filter
Must be 24+ specific due to the motor mount changes. My 23 tow mirrors are solid. I've never noticed any shaking or vibrations in them. Id still get them even if the newer ones shook a little. Im a firm believer the tow mirrors should be standard on all f150s, just like the superduties
Likely very true. Ive ran Es on f150s for a very long time. I seriously doubt you could tell a mpg difference also as long as you stay with the same size. Tread pattern I thinks much more important. You can't go from a highway treadmill C to an all terrain E and expect the same mileage, or an...
My 23 came from Ontario after a 1 year lease. Personally looking back id do it again in a second. I got a very good deal on a xlt loaded that's darn near a Lariat (way nicer and more equipped than my two Lariats I did own, minues leather seats. Xlt has leather everything else too). Here's the...
Just get a solid stainless steel replacement set off Amazon. My wife's 2017 escape had the same issue with the two piece lug nuts swelling and unable to use them. I ain't gonna be stranded on the side of the road because I couldn't swap lug nuts to get a spare on or off.
Shame on ford for...
Looks good!
I usually run load range Es on my f150s. Most mud tires and good ATs seem to be Es anyways. I always run them at 80 psi. Tread always wears nice and flat. I find it easier than worrying about airing down/up for certain situations
And no matter what you do, do not get a twenty twenty two. Get the twenty twenty three so that the c d f drum issue is fixed and you're not holding a ticking time bomb of a transmission
If you tow alot get the 3.5l.
Edit let me rephrase that. If you tow once or twice a year, a small two thousand pound utility trailer to bring some mulch home from lowe's.Then, yes, the two point seven might be great for you. If you tow anything serious or heavy or often, then I think you would...
Saying you'll tune the 2.7 to be closer to the 3.5 is not apples to apples. Id say tune both and see. This is the same old discussion as the 4.6l v8 vs 5.4l v8 for many years.
Its got less power, supposed to get better mileage. Mid size engine option. I once had a 4.6l for 7 years. Always...
My 23 3.5l eb i can hear the turbos. Not as much as my straight piped 6.0 PSD I used to have. But I can hear them a little. I very much enjoy it. I like hearing them. I didn't want to hear a high revving v8 though. Different strokes for different folks I reckon.
If you lost your rear axle, I don't see why you couldn't just put it in 4x4 and get off the road or even drive home. I know not everyone has 4x4. But its also not realistic to say everyone's just dead in the water, gonna be stuck in the middle of the road on the interstate
I bolted a lockbox under the truck with the factory spare door only key (the small one without a fob) and have it and a few other spares under the truck. I only take my one fob with me.
When traveling I usually have it clipped to my belt loop. If going somewhere like a miles long bike trip or...
My truck is a 23 3.5l eco with 3.55 gears. I just towed a couple thousand miles with my 5000 pound travel trailer. I wish my truck had 3.73s. Don't get me wrong, its a bad son of a biscuit with its 500 pounds of torque. Pulling light grades at 70 mph in 9th gear overdrive is impressive. But...
