Bluecruise, full-screen carplay/android auto, rear camera while driving, pro-trailer back up assist with the sticker, and I'm sure there are a few I may have left out. If you have the VIN, post or send it to me and I can check where it lays in terms of its software.Hey so, plans changed and I have a 2021 KR being delivered next week, and I have a question:
What's the point of updating? I know that all updates are good ones, but is anyone able to point out a discrete reason to go on this precarious adventure? I don't know what version the truck is currently on as I don't have it yet, but let's say it is the oldest one possible: what features do I stand to gain by updating?
Well great news, rugedraw was able to confirm my truck is completely OTA'd by the time I receive it so false alarm.10r80 shifting, as well as other drivability improvements since the original Gen14 was released almost 4 years ago?
My current up-to-date 2022 KingRanch is considerably more "polished" than my 2021 Platinum was when I first acquired it. 3 or 4 PCM updates further along, if you will.
Almost completely up to date; current enough where FDRS is not warranted as a necessity.Well great news, rugedraw was able to confirm my truck is completely OTA'd by the time I receive it so false alarm.
I can check FDRS for him later when I get home, but all modules except the WACM can be updated via OTA. The truck got PCM update 22-PU-1009-PPO-SI on 10/6. Thing is: To people without FDRS, ignorance is bliss. lolI'd still be curious what non-OTA updates are available for your VIN.
Anything ABS/PCM related would be hard to pass up. Unless the truck left me completely happy with its day to day drivability.
I admit that the last round of PCM/ABS update was subtle enough that I couldn't determine the impact. (other than clearing the adaptive tables)
Good to know. I corrected my post and ordered one. For some reason I thought you were instrumental in getting them to officially support F150's.I've had a legit new version UCDS adapter for a few months now that was bought from overseas. I have used it to connect in FDRS and it does work but I haven't done anything other than connect with it since I own a VCM3 that I use for updates, etc.
Edit: I did not work with the UCDS team with any development of their product.
Thanks!I can check FDRS for him later when I get home
I would cancel your order especially since you have a VCM3...Good to know. I corrected my post and ordered one. For some reason I thought you were instrumental in getting them to officially support F150's.
The fix for that one module that keeps reporting a soft code for communication issues, or a BC update? ?Ah yea buddy, this is a nice New Years treat! I was hoping getting a 30 day FDRS pass would pay off!!! Just showed up this afternoon, was there earlier today.
