I always left laptop in truck. It downloads eventually. Ford servers being slow is the issue as mentioned.

I'll wait and see if this OTA works for me when Ford decides to send it. Not sure how the process works if it needs to download all at once or if it will resume where it left off. My short work commute doesn't have truck running for long.

I’ve got a question about power supplies used for programming. I see the recommended is the solar 20 amp, but is that truly enough? I’ve seen discharge rates with KOEO higher than 20 amps while monitoring PIDs. I’m considering a NOCO genius pro 50 amp supply as it’s deeply discounted at the moment, but it’s still $500…

Still no word on an FDRS update to fix the login issues with 38.x.x? Tried uninstalling and reinstalling, no luck. ?‍♂

The one linked in the first post? Thats the same 20A power supply I was questioning. There is also a 100A by the same company, but if the 20A is the preferred I’ll just get that. Sorry to be a pain, just want to be sure I’m providing enough power before I start updating modules.

I have used the 20amp for a long time and its worked perfectly. Its the best I have encountered.

This thread sold a LOT of Mongoose adapters and ProLogix battery chargers.

Both have proven to have been up to the task. Over and over and over.

I'm not saying that there isn't even better choices available, but those will not fail you.

It is sufficient. In power supply mode, the Clore/Solar ProLogix 20A is designed to maintain a voltage of 14.1v. In practice, I generally don’t see that—voltage for me during programming is usually in the vicinity of 12.9-13.1v and the fan is constantly running. So it’s working pretty hard. But I’ve been using mine for almost two years now and the voltage has consistently been stable and high enough for safe programming. And at about $100, give or take, it’s a bargain.

Thanks for all of the reassurances guys, I’ve ordered the ProLogix 20A.

@HammaMan I wonder if your truck is showing this update since you're one of the few that got 23237.
My MME is 21 and nothing new there. 23s are getting the new version. Both of my vehicles are still sitting on version 980.

Pending truck updates right now....

Not sure if TCU will unlock anything. Not sure about PCM as I have a tune loaded right now.

TCU is most likely 6.4.0. I am trying to figure out if 23291 is only for 2021's and 23237 is for 2022/2023.

I'm in the same boat with the PCM update.

I use a 100A Clore PL6800 because it can supply enough power for any vehicle I work on, and it supplies clean power unlike many cheaper options.
