Aah, but who says you have to camp only when its hot outside and only in the woods? I hate hot and humid and mosquitos too. I don't camp in those conditions. I chase 70 degrees and only camp in places where its favorable. There are low tech solutions to stay comfortable. I'm out here to live my best life and enjoy, not suffer. For me the appeal is waking up with beautiful views, enjoying new experiences, but most importantly getting away from toxicity that is the demand of everyday life. The other R of R&R. What you really want to achieve is a balance of peace and quiet and social interaction. Too much social interaction and you get overwhelmed. Too much loneliness and you begin to crave attention. Camping can be whatever you want it to be, not just in the backwoods with mosquitos where its humid and miserable. Camp only in places where you would like to be and what time you would like to be there.
Well, in Central Illinois, with our two seasons, you either go when it's hot and humid or you freeze.

Look, I love being outdoors. There's just no reason for me to sleep out there.

I understand. The biggest difference with my experience is I plan to travel full time so I can go whereever the weather is most pleasant, but if you are stuck in Central Illinois there is a limited time window when you could go, but most importantly you have to go because you want to go, not because you have to, or because that's what everyone else does. I guess I'm just advocating more for the R&R side. You can just go when you get a weekend where its 70 degrees and non-humid if you get what I mean. If you don't enjoy the outdoors then nothing I say will matter. There's always an opportunity at one point of the year. Just being able to unwind. It does wonders for the soul.

I love the outdoors. My dad and aunt own 185 acres of timber and I love to go walk around. I just don't want to sleep there.

You have conquered life once all the following conditions have been met:

A) You have read and understand your owner's manual
B) You can change your own oil and a flat tire
C) You know how to jump start or replace the battery
D) You convinced the wife/girlfriend to go with you on a camping adventure despite the fact you have a shitty make shift bathroom set up thingy-ma-bobber.
Does this mean I will never conquer life?

I hate camping. Being outdoors? Yes. Sleeping there? That's a hard pass for me dog. My ancestors didn't struggle for centuries so that I can sleep in the hot on the ground.?
go camping in the fall or spring, it’s not hot then.

That is what these are for, best of both worlds. Be in nature, sleep in a comfy bed. :)

Ya, I'm not spending $50k to sleep on a bad bed and have to literally deal with my own shit either.

Not particularly helpful. Probably better to just mutter under your breath and keep on crossing by.
BTW, many of us find the built in manual cumbersome, hard to use, and frequently lacking. YMMV.
Yes, seems that they were written or edited by a non auto enthusiast. Oh where could I find how much oil in the crankcase? Capacities? Specifications? Oil? And then there are those “see da da da” so you have to go to the index to find the page number for “da da da” couldn’t they just give you the page number? Look up engine oil and you get a big list of specifications the oil should meet but not the capacity which was what you were looking for. It’s as if they say to themselves “your going to have to use this manual the way we want you to use it and that’s that!

I can confirm OEM RV beds are atrocious. Not to mention they are literal money pits because they rot from the inside due to poorly made construction. There's Airstream which is more rugged, but expensive. RV is about the worst investment you can make, henceforth why I have a simple Moonlander shell where all I need is a place to sleep and store my things. As far as waste is concerned, nobody enjoys doing that, but you have to be willing to make some compromises for freedom and flexibility to go wherever you want, whenever you want. For example I use a portable UDDT (toilet). You can't avoid it but it is what it is. I also have to go to planet fitness/truck stops/campgrounds/etc for hot showers and either do my own laundry or go to a coin operated laundromat. For me the main goal is to save money so I can retire early, but if I end up breaking even and enjoy this lifestyle more, than you cannot trade your happiness/freedom. It sounds like you are more of a day camper. You don't mind heading out for the day to enjoy nature, but when the sunsets, you want to be at home in your cozy bed/air conditioned home. Nothing wrong with that at all. I was just sharing my experience with why I am doing what I'm doing.

If they didn’t let the lawyers write the manual, it could be down to 50 pages.

thank you for the help. Wen.

Love the icon graphics. Bottom left is sunset mode, bottom right is robot at sunset, top two fire the jellyfish left and right. Not sure about the topmost button. Maybe unboxing

lol

It just got worse. I went to the online manual from ford and even after entering my VIN, it won't load the manual but requires asking it's AI bot, which didn't answer my question, or a rephrased, retry.
