I understand on the seal but AFE has engineers that test their products. Do you really think they would go to all the trouble to design a seal that wouldn’t qualify for a CAI. You have somewhat forced cold air coming in to the path of least resistance and likely enough pressure to stop any minute seal leak. Unless you use a thermometer to test your theory of warmer air coming it’s just a possibility. I am sure AFE did the proper testing to dispute your claim.

I bought a GT momentum because it’s sealed.
You can think whatever you want your system might be better than stock, it’s debatable, but the GT momentum is their latest design

What was good 15 years ago might not necessarily be great today. Keep that in mind.

Here is what AFE says about their designs. They do dyno testing on their products to get actual results.
I installed mine for HP, Torque and better airflow.
You can see mine out performs your new design.

I don't think my butt can notice the HP and torque gains shown here, but I do like the idea of more flow and assumption of less turbo work as to my way of thinkin' its good for longer life.

I also am of a belief that such a CAI is a contributing component to more significant gains realized by a tune and/or bigger pipes.

I am using my MX+ to determine stock, and now stock with Livernois Intercooler, intake T (Intake Air Temperature 2 PID and others). I am looking to go Momentum GT, if and when I pull the trigger I'll post my data here OBDLink Data Request Supporting CAI and Intercooler Decisions | F150gen14 -- 2021+ Ford F-150, Tremor, Raptor Forum (14th Gen) | News, Owners, Community, Discussions

I certainly love the look and would go oiled with a backup spare filter. I don't think I would use the filter condom.

@HammaMan you ever figure out yes or no on a CAI? And if applicable what configuration?

BTW, anybody see the massive air filter on the RAM Hurricane?!
