Turn Signal Cameras???

i have a service appointment next thursday and the service writer sort of owes me a favor
if i can get the software update info.. i plan to ask him to do it.

It's done with FORscan. You need the IPMA files off of 2023 superduty flashed onto your IPMA and then the two forscan changes you know about. It may require some as built changes done, too. It's not a procedure for a novice.

i talked to rugedraw off line. had no idea it was so intense to do. wonder if the load would make the f150 think its a bigger truck ? ?
taking software from another truck seems easy enough..sort of like the old diablo tuners that had a base super duty load
i will ask my guy, but after i got the nitty gritty it may be a hard sale
i did download as built for a 2023 super duty lariat that has 360 cameras towing and all that jazz to look at apim codes ...but that the end of my brain work..

That's done with a Naviks HDMI interface. It has nothing to do with module programming.

Maybe, but I'm not sure. Honestly, Idon't think so. I know that with the software i have, you can do a few as built changes and add BC 1.2, but I don't know if software that has BC 1.2 will automatically give you the turn signal camera feature. You can try the two FORscan mods that enable it and test it with a trailer.

You have many options to stream video thru your dash screen: NAViKS, CarLinkIt, etc. just search Amazon and you will get 100 options ranging from $100-400

I went with naviks because there is no audio/video lag with HDMI, and it has extra ports that also allow me to integrate a wireless camera that I mount behind my boat so I can see what's behind me when I'm pulling it and backing up.

anywho...i talked in depth to my service write about the ipma download needed form a super duty 2023 lariat of one with 360 camera package
after i gave him the run down on whats needed and the result for cameras with turn signal
he said give him a few days to see what he can "find" to download and maybe we can figure it out
i said its a long download as i was told a couple hrs maybe.
we shall see
he has a brand new f450 larait that is in for some addons so maybe he can do some magic
then he asked if we do this mod to his expedition

I mean really you just need the VIN of a SD that you know has the trailer turn signal function that works, download the AB files for it and compare. You don’t need a whole bunch of trucks to have AI compare for you. I’m fact, people have already posted what values they think need to be changed:

• trailer turn signal view
  • IPMA
    • 706-01-02: 3xxx xxxx xx
  • APIM
    • 7D0-02-03: xxxx x8xx xx (or C)
    • reset APIM under wrench icon

But I have yet to see where someone has them hooked up a trailer and tested. I will at some point, but it will be a few months before my trailer is out and available.

Sorry the last part confused me you need to reset your apim in forscan? And this is separate from clicking write all after making those value changes? I plan on trying it this weekend

Sort of hoping IF we get updated with BC 1.3 it will update the IPMA so we can turn on this feature. I'd be happy with the split 50/50 rear view at speed that 23 trucks can apparently turn on in the Forscan thread.

Under the wrench icon there are different procedures. One of them is listed as reset APIM. Just click that

What is involved in applying MY23 SD APIM to my Job1 MY21 XLT 301A? What risks does it pose? I already have Co-Pilot 360 Assist 2.0 with (I think) all of the driver aids except blue cruise and parking assist. Trailer BLIS is enabled.

I'm comfortable doing a bit of light hacking but don't want to risk bricking my truck.
