No, sir. Dealers don't use FORscan. It's a third party software.
I know they don’t use forscan but I was thinking they can still update modules. But I’ll have to figure out where I can get that update then definitely want to up date my 22

It doesn't work that way. The update hasn't been released for our trucks yet by Ford. It has to be side loaded using forscan. It's a hack, for a lack of better words.

Oh so you know how it can be done or point me in the right direction?

He can't tell you how to do it. None of us can. It's a hack done by someone and they are not going to give details. I don't know why you keep asking over and over. Just let it go...

Now the bright side is that we all think BC updates are coming, and that means updating software even on non-BC trucks. There is a chance that new software will reach the IPMA on 2021 trucks which will support the turn signal cameras. I currently have the option on my dash screen to turn it on, but it doesn't work. Added that with Forscan. It does work on 2023 trucks with newer IPMA software. That is why I think if we get BC update, it will get us at least to the level the 2023 trucks have now.

It takes 6 hours to do. I don't want to burden anyone like that; not for something we're all going to get anyway. Hopefully, sooner than later.

If you have a 23 F150 you can enable the Trailer cameras or the turn signal side view cams

If you have a 21-22 you would need to install 2023 IPMA software

There will be an update im sure within the next month or two for the 21-22 and then you would be able to enable after that update.

The only way as of now is to load the 23 F150 IPMA software.

IPMA will need to happen for updated Bluecruise, it's used for the other trucks too so almost certainly our 2021 trucks will get updated to new software in future. We are just waiting for Ford to get around to it. Could be a Christmas present to us. Or it could be next year. Mach-E doesn't have it yet and they will get it first. Looks like they are up to 6.6.0 on that model but our trucks might use different version numbers.

Indeed, version numbers don't translate over either.
MME 6.2 = F150 6.3 APIM
MME 6.6 was a bunch of EV related module changes (ABS, PCM, battery / motor controllers)
2021 model years may have some oddities on the MME at least (this broke the update cycle overall, jesse helped me get squared away but other cars are stuck for now until ford can OTA fix it).

Subsequent MME updates include TCU, SCCM
At large still is IPC, IPMA, possibly CCM.

I believe one of the engineers said things are paused for now while issues are resolved so temper expectations on the short term.

Oh o see mine is a 22 not sure if that makes a difference. But I’d see what you’re saying thanks for that info. Christmas would be extremely nice!!

2021 and 2022 both need updates.

Based on what HammaMan said I expect next year.

So I suppose the latest update 6.4.0 wasn’t the one we were waiting for to get this to work?
