You just bought the truck so it's very likely to just update on it's own as you drive it. The important thing to know is you are not missing features. Nothing new has been added for a long time to these trucks. I would in your shoes just ride out the OTA process.

Some have been pretty major changes, but you're pretty up to date. More like a few tweaks from where you're at now to being fully up to date.

Small little tweaks and bug fixes. There are many of us in worse shape. I bought my 2021 truck April 2023 it was well over a year outdated missing all the features they added with updates. FDRS was my only option.

2023 models have all those features from day one so you are not missing features just Ford constantly tweaking things for better or worse.

I am new here and I have just purchased a used 2021 Ford F150 2.7 ecoboost a few weeks ago. I just went out to start it today and the battery was dead. I had just drove it yesterday and it still had the original battery in it. Autozone was able to charge the battery; however, I heard this issue could be due to missing patches from the dealership.
I was hoping someone who is able to could run my vin to determine if any patches were missing. Thank you for your time in this matter!

PTS seems to be partially down - I have a subscription because I was going to look some things up and I can't even get to workshop manuals at the moment.

1FTFW1E83MFA57499 - it is still trying/failing every few days on an OTA update. If I go to updates when the "update is scheduled" icon is on screen I can't actually "install now", I also don't see that update in FDRS for it.

I would not say it is normal, no. Your truck is not on the latest Sync version available for the 8" screen. Yes, an XL has less modules than a higher trim truck and will get less updates. Modules with pending updates are below. I do not have a good explanation as to why you have not gotten anything sent for a while.

Modules with pending updates are below. You received a GWM update last month that is believed to be the first step in correcting an issue where vehicle on Sync 23159 like yours stopped getting updates. Hopefully you get more sooner than later.

That update failed due to a corrupt manifest. You can ignore the message you are seeing. Nothing you can do but wait for it to be resent.

Wow thanks. Yeah I have no idea what to do then. I don't know how important these updates are, but also I did some basic forscan changes I wonder if that has anything to do with the issues? I had a bad battery which I replaced with an H8 a few months ago and that resolved all of the battery issues, I was hoping that would fix it.

What would you do?
