Ordered a package deal from Tirerack as I’ve done countless times. This time it is for my 2024 crew xlt. Paid $180 for tpms to be installed. Roughly 15 miles after bolting them on I get this
Ford F-150 Ordered a wheel/tire set for my 24 and now this.? IMG_4548

Now I’m wondering what could be the culprit. No sensors, wrong mhz, or the 24 doesn’t like aftermarket sensors. My invoice shows 433mhz which is what they changed to in 2024.
now I’m waiting back to hear from their Fitment team the first of the week.

Not that I know of for 2024+. I had a few different sets for my 23 from tire rack and it was bolt on and go,
i tried teaching the sensors today with the ford fob looking thing today as well as the air down method with no luck.

Someone correct me if I am wrong but Ford completely changed the TPMS after 2024+ with different part numbers.

Different colors as well too. 2024+ are now in gray instead of black and 21-23 TPMS doesn’t work on 2024+

Only thing I can think of is transfer over the TPMS to new wheels.

They take a while sometimes to register. I put new TPMS on my '19 Platinum wheels and the passenger rear wheel took about 2 days to register with the computer. Now, there's no issues whatsoever. Got warnings the whole time.

Go to your manual . It will tell you what to do ,to program them. Let me know if it works.

Unless Ford is different I've had to program TPMS on my Silverado and FJ Cruiser when they were changed.

Tirerack got back to me and said I needed to wake the sensors up then learn them to the truck, this is the second set of wheels I’ve had on the truck. First time I purchased sensors direct from ford, they worked right out of the gate. According to my invoice, these are to be the correct 433mhz that ford changed to in 2024

Please keep us posted. I’m interested in the resolution. I just had the 433mhz sensors from tire rack installed on my winter wheels that I was running on my 2019(had new blizzaks installed last winter when I still had the old truck). I won’t be installing the wheels until October tho to know if they work or not.

On my 19, I would just swap the wheels and everything worked. Original sensors on those wheels were also from tire rack with the old mhz rating.

They have to be programmed
Take it to a tire shop, it’s a quick 5-10 minute deal.

Did you put the truck in TPMS learning mode then try the sensor calibrator? Sounds like you have the tools.

Yes, just got done following the directions they set me for waking sensors up, air down below 10psi then back up, then I entered factory training mode and attempt to use fords tool and nothing.
This is the second set I’ve had on this truck. First set I got the tpms direct from ford using my points. They were bolt on a go. I didn’t have to do anything.
