Thanks for the picture. The dim spot doesn’t appear to be as dark as mine. Mine are either defective or Ford changed the 25s to have less output making that spot worse. I still need to find a flat spot with a wall to try and adjust per factory directions.
Post 12 has a video of the 21-23 lights. They appear to have a similar break across the beam pattern but it doesn’t look as significant. Also looks like there’s more saturation above and below the break. I’ve seen a few posts with people saying the 24+ don’t turn as much which I agree with after...
Kinda crazy that someone could sign off on something like this. There’s barely any light across the center of the beam projected onto the road. I’m also finding that In addition to the break in lighting, the output from these lights is really lacking compared to other vehicles I’ve owned...
The lighting is poor in the center of the beam pattern, not closest to the truck, so I’m not sure that’s it. Or that is it and it’s just implemented so poorly. In post 15 I circled the trouble area. It shows where the beam pattern and light output is weakest, in the center of the beam, not...
Is there anything to fix tho? There are all kinds of electronic components that have the potential to make noise as part of their normal functionality.
Did some test fitting on the passenger side after removing the factory jack. It fits with the seat in the normal position but there’s not enough clearance to fold the seat up. Even if I were to trim the rear carpet, the stock amp makes it so the hs10 prevents the seat from folding up. Not sure...
Has anyone installed the HS10 in a 24-25 and kept the factory sub?
I was planning on doing this and putting the hs10 in the middle. For whatever reason, Ford changed the layout behind the rear seats in 24. The cab vent is in the middle, factory sub on driver side and the amp on the passenger...
Appreciate hearing about your truck. If you get a chance, would you mind posting some pictures similar to the ones I did? I’d be interested to see the difference.
The dip isn’t the issue. That is expected for the exact reason you’ve mentioned. It’s the lack of light saturation in the middle of the light on the road, circled in red. Does your truck have this?
This is what I find distracting as when going up or down hills it can result in barely any light...
That’s where I got my info. What’s not clear to me is if I can use the stock sub signal and set it to high-level input knowing the signal is already modified for a sub. My preference is to use the DC offset to avoid tapping a a switched turn on lead.
I have a question on the DC offset Turn-On option for the hs10. It states it only works with the high speaker level outputs.
If I’m getting the audio signal from the factory sub wiring, can I use the high level speaker input option, or would I need to use the low level since it’s already...
I haven’t tried this exact process because my driveway is not flat. However, I lowered them by turning the adjustment screw one full turn. That resulted in them being too low and the solid light at the end of the beam wasn’t projecting far enough so I reverted the adjustment by a half turn. So...
With it being darker earlier now, and some time having passed for more 25s to be on the road, I’m curious to know if anyone else is noticing this.
it’s incredibly distracting going up or down hills when the road a 1/2 car length in front of the truck isn’t well lit.
Really trying to figure out...
Got it. So they’re on when the truck is on (ACC or actually running) and then off as the truck turns off.
I now have a new idea. Purchase the stock lights and power them from the Cigarette Lighter Male Plug with Leads that you referenced.
It’s a little hacky but I think it will work. I’ll...
Yup, same cricket as that video.
Anyone hearing the name type of sound but it’s more constant at highway (70+) speeds?
I can’t tell if it’s the same thing continuously going, wind noise or a rattle. It’s coming from the same area though.
That all looks great and is something to consider for sure.
If you always have the Cigarette Lighter Male Plug turned on, when do the lights turn on and off?
Thanks
I have a 25 501a lariat that unfortunately doesn’t have any ambient lighting other than 2 from the over head console and the single light at the rear of the floor console. I didn’t realize when I got the truck that 502a was required for all the other ambient lights. For me, I’d really only like...
