I just don't understand why they can't give the consumer the choice to update or not. Many (most) people prefer the old version and not just because we're stubborn and resistant to change. It's because the previous version had features we used regularly. It would be nice if the Ford account could chime in and at least give us an explanation.

I have version 4 on iOS and it finally stopped working. They are forcing you to update.
Same here on Android. For a few days, I was able to clear the cache, force Stop on the app, relaunch it and work with it, but they finally stopped supporting this version and force me to "upgrade" (technically downgrade to a lesser app).
@Ford Motor Company sucks. Taking something that works and destroy it.

You could try going back to an old old version on Android. There is chance that forced update function was added in 2024. Something earlier in v4 might not have it. Longshot but you can try it. ?‍♂

Bring back control and monitoring to the phone:
Active monitoring of Generator output
Zone lighting control
Security monitoring (push notifications for open door)

It’s amazing how each update slowly removes the key features people want.

I have a suspicion they used the app as beta testing, making sure everything works and acquiring data to figure out what features people want/use more. Then they started pulling those key features and will eventually release them under a paid subscription to nickel and dime customers.

They probably need their money back for the (data usage) integrated LTE Modems. :p

So, I also received the required update notification a few days ago. Sadly, it looks like we are stuck for now.

For grins, I went to the Google Play store, and saw that the Fordpass app rating is now up to 4.6! WTF! The rating was around 3.4 a month ago, and now it is 4.6?!?!. What a crock. Someone must be manipulating the numbers behind the scene. When the reviews are sorted by "most recent," the vast majority are one-star and two-star reviews with significant detailed feedback. Then there are several newer four-star and five-star ratings with one-word (or just a few word) reviews. Something is fishy here.....
