I agree, the new version is CRAP.

If you notice it now says “Slide to turn on vehicle”. more EV nonsense. my tuck STARTS. it doesnt turn on like a Samsung TV. just more subtle EV training so we will walk like sheep to the EV side.
The PBs turn on, they only start when needed

Slide to act is superior to the former push and hold. More could be done on the lock front. They could make it single button for slide up to unlock, slide down to lock. It's ford though, they can only take one step forwards so long as they first take 3 steps back.

Hi F-150 owners! If you recently updated your FordPass® app, you may have noticed it looks a little different. We are pleased to share that we have rolled out a newly designed app.

It is easy to use and efficient, reducing the number of steps it takes to access functions to help you better manage your vehicle remotely. Also, instead of having to hold down a button to turn the vehicle ‘on’, this is now a simplified slider.

Additionally, if you have an Apple Watch, along with lock/unlock and remote start/stop, you will also be able to use the following features from your wrist:
  • Activate horn and lights remotely
  • View vehicle location
  • View fuel level and range, for gasoline-powered vehicles
  • View fuel level, battery and range, as well as total combined, for hybrid vehicles
We are also continuing to improve in-app experience with this latest version. If you notice a feature you previously used before is no longer there, don’t worry, the feature can still be accessed via your in-vehicle touchscreen.

We love to hear from our owners so let us know what you think and if you have any questions about FordPass!

EDIT (5/28/24):
Many of you had additional questions, so we wanted to provide some supplemental information about the newly designed FordPass app. Some of your exact features may vary depending on your vehicle model.
  • All about service: To reach the service dashboard, click the tool icon on the bottom right of your screen. You will find a vehicle health status list that includes the odometer reading, oil life for gas-powered vehicles, and tire pressure. If you’d like to add your vehicle service history, this can be done via Ford.com.
  • Trip Planning: While there’s no trip planning feature in FordPass right now, you can still use your in-vehicle touchscreen to access this feature. We’re exploring a simpler, more reliable version of this feature for FordPass.
  • Google Maps: To turn your Google Maps consent on or off, go to your Account settings, then Legal & Privacy, then Privacy.
  • Beep Beep: To reach the horn and lights feature, go to the location section right on the front screen.
  • Lock from anywhere: To tell if the vehicle is locked or unlocked, just click on your desired lock/ unlock state. The vehicle will then confirm “locked” or “unlocked” with a green check.
  • Tailgate party: Depending on your vehicle’s capability, Phone As A Key™ Bluetooth controls for the windows, trunk/frunk, and tailgate are found in the "Bluetooth Controls" menu right alongside all your other primary controls.
  • Add a friend: If your Ford vehicle is already connected in FordPass, you can find and manage any new vehicle user access requests by selecting your vehicle in the app, then selecting Vehicle Details. From there, you can approve or deny any new user access requests.
Please note: FordPass® App, compatible with select smartphone platforms, is available via a download. Message and data rates may apply.

Please bring back pro power monitoring!! I use my 2021 PB to power my film sets and used the app a lot. Is there a stand-alone Pro Power app? Why would you take away the best features???? This update is a failure as it stands.

I expect features to slowly creep back into the new app, but likely will take months. They still have lots of bugs being reported in it now with locations and EV features not working correctly. Another month of bug fixes at least is my guess before they attempt to add anything.

We're already 7 months into this thing and no features have been added.

A month for the public beta testing currently in progress. They don't call it that, but that is the way of the world in software now. Eh close enough, send it and we'll fix it later when people complain.

I know I’m dreaming but it sure would be nice to be able to roll all the windows down on my KR with the App.

Attempted to log into Ford Pass this morning and it would not recognize my log in credentials. Had to wait till I got home so I could check my emails and reset password. To my surprise I had been upgraded to 5.0.3 and yup it stinks! No service history available, does not show updates, no zone lighting, no trailer light test, no pro power and no fuel guage. issues.

If it wasn't for Ford Pass, I'd have been stranded more with the old Power Boost as it was the only way I could get the truck started with the SSN.

Really hope Ford restores the functionality of this app. It's bad enough that I lost the Ford Navigation services not long after I got the truck.

@Ford Motor Company still hasn't bothered you acknowledge features removed or returning. They could at least give us the same canned responses posted on the app stores.

I don't think @Ford Motor Company has said a single thing here since they created this thread. They tried a little fluff piece in the wrong place. Nobody wanted to hear how pretty the new app is. It's a truck forum, we want truck features, not mustang Mach E stuff.

They cross posted this across several forums including the EV forums. I don't think they have responded in any of them. I think much of this is due to not wanting to be caught saying something will happen and then it doesn't happen. We are getting vague indication on app store responses that things might be coming, but nothing as public as a forum update. A cross posted reply at least acknowledging the issues we are upset about would be nice to see though.

Google Play Store rating now down to 3.5/5 as it drops about .1 per week since v5.

Ford generic response still the same to complaints. Removed features for stability and will add later. Blah blah blah. I won't believe it until I see my zone lighting control back.

I literally opened the app store to see how far is dropped and the notification for your response came through. Dropping .6 stars is no small feat ?

Sounds like the same shit SONOS is going through with their latest App.
