Hey man, I've got the same sound happening too. I think my Torque converter is on the way out but haven't had the time to take it in for replacement. Currently around 107K miles.
Managed to squeeze ~60K miles out of my second set of OEM Pirellis on my heavy ass powerboost truck.
Went to the dealer down the road and got another set of take-offs installed. This time they put the OEM Hankooks on. We'll see how they compare after putting ~100K miles on the truck with...
Didn't he say something to the effect of it uses the 12V starter every time to start up initially?
I know that's not right. I've only heard mine start up that way an handful of times. I assume it uses the belt starter most of the time when stopped, the hybrid starter when moving and 12V starter...
Seems like Ford is catching us up. I think I was stuck for the last year or more with just 6.3 or something like that and over the last few weeks they've managed to push out 6.5 6.8 some minor other updates for battery management and software update improvements and now I've got 10.1.1 or something.
I keep mine on Auto and recirculate as much as possible and it obviously still pulls in fresh air pretty easily. Still smell skunks and other odors while cruising down the highway.
For sure, I talked to my dealership about it a year or so ago maybe and it was a few hundred dollars it seemed and I still have 175K extended warranty so I passed on it at the time. Will see what they say next time I guess.
Mine has been doing this now this summer after I've hit over 100K miles. I'm assuming it needs new trans fluid. Similar feeling i experienced in my '16 after about that many miles and a trans fluid flush helped.
Correct. Don't have those subscriptions active anymore but the cruise and lane centering work perfectly still. Can even stick a water bottle or something in the spoke of the steering wheel and it will drive down the interstate all day as if it were bluecruise because it thinks my hand is on the...
Yes, certainly not a selling point and I won't buy something with the promise of a future update that will influence my decision.
Ford has been better at removing features from those prepaid subscription services than supporting them in the meantime.
Disabled all my shit immediately as soon...
Own a 21 and enjoyed the 3 years with bluecruise at the time but was disappointed it never got any updates and truck itself hasn't gotten many updates. Certainly not going to pay them money to be left virtually stranded with outdated technology.
