My friend's '21 has working BlueCruise. He bought it used and it's always worked for him. How the previous owner got it working I do not know.

Has anyone been successful in getting Ford to activate BC to their truck per the window sticker?

There is no expiration date like you see for 2022 and newer.

Own a 21 and enjoyed the 3 years with bluecruise at the time but was disappointed it never got any updates and truck itself hasn't gotten many updates. Certainly not going to pay them money to be left virtually stranded with outdated technology.

Yes, certainly not a selling point and I won't buy something with the promise of a future update that will influence my decision.

Ford has been better at removing features from those prepaid subscription services than supporting them in the meantime.

My dealer got mine working after a lot of time spent by them. Since then, I have updated it myself as my truck doesn't get any OTAs.

So, you no longer have an active BlueCruise and Connected Navigation subscription. Other than not having handsfree mode, does your lane centering work any different? I'm thinking it shouldn't.

Correct. Don't have those subscriptions active anymore but the cruise and lane centering work perfectly still. Can even stick a water bottle or something in the spoke of the steering wheel and it will drive down the interstate all day as if it were bluecruise because it thinks my hand is on the wheel.

Enabled Bluecruise in my 2021 Job 1 truck years ago with FDRS/Mongoose and Forscan/OBDLink MX dongle and some other work @ the dealership (APIM replacement x2).

Last year, I upgraded it to BC 1.4 via same process. I took advantage of the 3 years for $600 ($200 per year) offer for Job 1 trucks almost a year ago, so I'm good until 5/13/27.

I drive ~110 miles R/T when I go into the office 3x days per week. 90% of that is expressway, and only touch the steering wheel once or twice during the ~100 miles I'm on the freeway.
