How has everything been going with reimbursement etc?
I submitted my rental receipt last Friday while standing at Hertz and the customer service rep finally responded to my email last night. Hertz had to break my rental up into two contracts because of the length of time that I had the rental. Hertz email was asking me to provide a single receipt showing all days and the total price. She already knew that it was separate contracts, because I provided the first receipt nearly a month ago. She hasn’t responded or called me back.
I also asked about compensation for paying the truck payment while it sat in a body shop for three months. The blue cruise and SiriusXM expired while it was there too. She didn’t address that portion of my email…

They stated in another post that they revamped their inspection process after my issues occurred .
Is that their way of saying " We fired the last PDI guy and got a new person." A buddy that details vehicles, told me that the PDI people only get so much time to do a unit. And they don't pay much for a PDI. I am not letting Granger of the hook, they should have stepped up to the plate and worked with the customer.

Granger’s management team wasn’t helpful at all. Zach never responded to any of my emails or phone calls. Sean was a smartass on the phone when he finally called me.
I had to take multiple days off of work to visit dealerships and body shops. They submitted a warranty claim and got reimbursed for paying the body shop for the paint work and I’m still out $5,100.40 for a rental car on top for the 4 payments that I made on the truck while it was being repainted. I have to take it back to the body shop to have a few issues addressed too.

This is just crazy. Grainger, you guys sure must be proud of yourselves! You too Ford! Sad part is something like this incident won’t hurt Grainger or Ford.

On the contrary. I suspect it will hurt Granger, at least.

From a pristine reputation, to this completely preventable hell show, with no apparent remorse.

Things slip by. Small things. Everyone knows that but they're to be dealt with, promptly and honestly.

That truck never should have left Ford and I'm shocked, that it left Granger in that condition and then saddened and pissed, that the communication was so bad.

Like a lot of folks on this and other Ford truck boards, I bought my current truck from Granger and the experience was perfect. I drove 6 hrs. each way to get it. I have my doubts that such a mess wouldn't have been caught, knowing I was coming in person but it is still messed up that this one got through and then the lack of cooperation about it, was inexcusable.

Will I buy another one from them?

Sure as hell, not without seeing it first but even then, the risk of time and expense, knowing this could be the result? At this point, the answer points to no.

She’s reached out a few times, but he hasn’t been available. Once she gets what she needs I have to wait two business weeks for them to mail me a prepaid debit card for $5,100.40. I may have it in another month…

A prepaid debit card is absolutely wild for a reimbursement form of payment

Fords prepaid debit cards suck because there is no way to deposit the money into your bank account and then pay off the credit card debt you have been racking up on their behalf!

Fords prepaid debit cards suck because there is no way to deposit the money into your bank account and then pay off the credit card debt you have been racking up on their behalf!
Can you not pay off one card with the other?

I couldn't find a way to do it. It is a strange very limited account that only allows you to make purchases toward the card that I was sent for rental reimbursement.

Someone stated before that you can take out a cash advance on the card without paying a fee.
