I have a new 2025 Lariat High Hybrid.
I'm missing a few options that were on my 2021 Tremor High.
I would like to know if the following options are on 2024 and earlier Lariats or were all of these deleted and/or changed for 2025

1. Bed camera. I really liked this and used it all the time as peace of mind while hauling things in my bed and checking on the dogs while traveling.
2. Power telescoping steering wheel. Not having this is a minor annoyance but I had it on my Tremor and I liked having it set to my positon with the seat memory.
3. Adjustable headrests for driver and passenger seats.
4. Driver door keypad for lock and unlock.

A couple other things.
Why doesn't Ford have a lower priced bed option with just the bed lights and box link, without the funky tailgate?
I feel like these trucks could be optioned a lot better. I don't want or need the auto parallel park assist.
I don't want or need the process trailer backup. I'd gladly trade both of these for some of the missing options listed above.

1. Bed camera. - In 2024+ it is only on the Platinum.
2. Power telescoping steering wheel. - In 2024+ it is only KR & Platinum.
3. Adjustable headrests for driver and passenger seats. - 2024 still adjusts in KR & Platinum. Not sure about 2025.
4. Driver door keypad for lock and unlock. - In 2025 it is gone for all F150s! You can only get the magnetic keypad as an factory option or dealer-installed accessory for $455. 2024 was last year on the b-pillar.

Thank you! I thought that Tremor High was more comparable to Lariat High than Platinum
Didn't you ask your salesperson about these before buying it?
No. I should have. I just assumed it would have all the options that my Tremor had. It sounds like the Tremor High is optioned more like the Platinum than the Lariat High.

Regarding #4 - It's looking like you can add the built in keypad yourself if you are up to it, as it sounds like the wiring is still there. Looks like it costs less than $200, plus a chunk of your time

I would be curious if they left the wiring in the door. I know on my wife's 2024 Escape the keypad was a DIO that came in a box in the car and the body shop installed. I will bet now that the wiring isn't there to save the 99 cents per F150.

I've always been a Lariat High fan for how well equipped it is but I refuse to participate in their game if this is the way they're going to operate going forward.
Missing all of those things at the prices they still charge for them, I might as well go buy anything else.

Ford is trying to figure out how to combat inflation.

Just based on the published CPI, from Jan 22 to Dec 24, CPI rose 12%. Meaning my fully optioned lariat with an MSRP of $70k, is $78,500 today. Just due to inflation.

So ford is cutting costs trying to preserve prices, and of course their margin.

I've long told my friends that I would buy a Ford even if it were a poor second just for the door keypad. Now, it appears they are phasing it out. I think Ford is making a huge, huge mistake! This is a unique feature and far better than a subscription-required Starllink.

Those CPI numbers quoted above are a real issue, but I bet Ford's cost of production has increased greater than the CPI. They have a strong union to deal with that only recently won a substantial wage increase.

They may justify cutting "features", but should continue to offer them as options, even if a price increase on each is required.

They are also missing a diesel engine option

23 f150 lariat pb
Just got my 25 lariat high and agreed I am very dissapointed that its optioned worse than my 23 lariat. I worked for ford and saw firsthand how they tore apart the f150 to save pennies per vehicle (which amounts to millions I understand). All this to say, even having been on the inside I am very dissapointed. Had a '21, '23, and now a '25 and it keeps getting worse. 2021 guys remember the ambient lighting, glove box light, digital temp knobs, and whatever else they removed.

I should have been more diligent when ordering as I too thought a lot of the things that were taken away from the lariat were standard to a lariat. Still grateful to have a nice truck but damn its still dissapointing to lose options and pay more.

edited to add a thought: I always felt like the lariat was the best bang for your buck and there was no point to get the platinum just to get massage seats a and unique badges. So ford clearly thought the same and widened the gap between lariat and platinum. Just hate that they did it mid-program instead of during a facelift year or next generation launch. This way people would expect the change and be more diligent.

some people even shared screenshots of features that were listed when they ordered their 2025 trucks and then received them without them. Also no indication even now that lariats don’t have power telescoping steering wheel. The other deleted stuff is discoverable with serious diligence; nothing is obvious.
