I already have the Ford ESP. Regarding the connectors on Amazon, can they also be used for the dash cam? Since you have the same truck can you confirm if your rear view mirrors are powered? I will look into the other accessories.
Thumbs up on the Ford ESP. Always good to have piece of mind on a machine like this.

I believe the auto-dimming rear view mirror is standard on Lariat, King Ranch, and Platinum/Platinum+, and is available on the XLT. Check you sticker to make sure you have it, or you can look at the back of you mirror to see if it has a 16-pin cable plugged into it just under the post. It should look something like this:

I am adding some splash guards. If I add the rear wheel well liners, can I still add or do I still need the splash guards?
I believe the splash guards install independent from the wheel well liners. I do not have splash guards on my truck, so I can't be 100% sure about that. Just query the forum about it, as I am sure someone has had that question before.

Best of luck.

A few of my favorite day 1 DIY mods:

Short Antenna
Rear wheel well liners
LED license plate bulbs
Bed cover
I have the short antenna and bed cover. Will order rear wheel well liners. Not sure what LED license plate bulbs would do.

For oil changes, I think there's a balance to strike between doing what's optimal for the engine and not throwing money away, and everyone has their own idea of where that line is.

I agree 10k intervals on a twin turbo engine is a lot. I do 5000-7500 on mine. 5000 if it's winter or I'm doing a lot of towing. 7500 in the summer when I'm mostly commuting. My commute is 40 minutes each way of slower highway, so pretty ideal as far as kindness to oil goes. I've used Pennzoil Ultra Platinum and Motorcraft filters since new.

You could make an argument to go a little longer on a PowerBoost because it's running the engine less often. 1/4-1/3 of my miles are electric and if I went by the oil life counter I'd be at something like 14k between changes.

As far as wheel well liners go, the Ford ones are worth the extra money. I tried Rough Country ones first to save a few bucks, but they didn't fit right and rattled around. The Ford ones fit perfectly with no rattles and are super easy to install.

For dash cams, I agree with the rear view mirror adapter others mentioned - makes the install super easy and clean. I have a Garmin Dash Cam Mini which hides behind the rear view mirror nicely. I didn't see the point in a giant one with a screen and the Garmin has been doing great for years now (moved it from my last truck).

There are four subjects I avoid talking to strangers about because I don't like conflict.

1 Guns
2 Religion
3 Politics
4 Oil change intervals and oil brand/type
Yeah if there is any question not to ask, it's oil and change intervals. :cwl:

Retired and not looking. I am driving the wife crazy.
Ford sells a very good dash cam front and rear over the parts counter. You can use Ford points for this purpose, and have Ford install it. I special ordered my 23 XLT and it was a dealer installed option on the order sheet. My dealer did an excellent job of installation, and It worked. I totaled the truck at 1,800 miles. The video was clear I was not at fault.

Regardless, that was one expensive loss. I lost my 0% for 36 months. Insurance companies are a total pain to deal with. Let's just say I lost money as a result.

I guess I could have sued for something like loss of use, but the only ones that get anything is the lawyers.

Just make sure you get left and right figured out before you start.
I cannot possibly be the only one that flashed back to a drill instructor bellowing, "Your other left!"

For the dashcam, if you are looking for easy install and OEM looking, I would investigate the FitcamX. It looks to be about a 15 minute install, including hiding the wires to the rear camera and you do not need to buy the separate dongle as its already integrated.

The only downside with doing any dash cam through the rear view mirror is that it will only have power when the truck is on, so no parking mode. If you want parking mode, you need to wire it to the fuse box which is more complicated. I've also seem some solutions where you can plug into the ODB sensor, but I've also seen some reports that will not work with the Powerboost.

What is with all the screw/no screw stuff on the FitCamX? The website and amazon seem to make a big deal about it, like it matters for which camera you order or whether it will fit, but then doesn't say what to do depending on your mirror (screw/no screw) situation

The dealership will have all recall info. No notice needed to bring. Personally I go 5000 miles on oil changes, you will find all sorts of answers and opinions on that subject. Oil is cheap motors are not.
5K but if you don't do 5K in one year then change it every year. I just turned 6K on my 21 I bought in May of 21.
