I have a '24 F150 and '22 Expedition. Lately, both trucks have been getting some Powertrain Malfunction / Reduced Power warnings in the FordPass app, along with a wrench lighting up in the dash. They usually last a day or so and then clear on their own.
I've been thinking of buying an ODB...
I typically lock my key in the car using the keypad on the door. I have never had an issue with this, until now! The other day I'm out with the family and lock my key in the car. We go to leave and I pre-start the car through the app and unlocked the doors, but the doors didn't actually unlock...
How would they know? Car and warranty could’ve been bought out of state. Or moved from out of state. Dealerships would definitely need to honor the warranty.
Exactly correct. This is just the new design. Under my backseat there was a box with the old style you can install and then add a tie down. Personally, I prefer this new design since you don’t need to add anything to it. It’s ready to go and takes up no space.
Yeah in those states you have to buy from an in state dealership. So you cannot get a cheaper prices warranty from a dealership in another state, like Granger.
But there are easy works arounds. Like simply using someone else’s address at the time of purchase.
Definitely check your fuses. It’s so easy to do. I didn’t have any issues but I saw many people pointing this out so I checked and sure enough, all needed an extra push.
I also saw many people mentioning their rear diff fluid being low. Apparently it’s supposed to be topped off at the new car...
Here are some pics. I don’t have other covers to compare it to, but I really like this one. It was incredibly easy to install and I like how easy it is to take off when I need the full bed. It’s very low profile and nice looking. It’s sturdy and you can put things on top of it. It looks great...
I read a lot of helpful stuff here before buying my truck so I wanted to give back a bit for others getting ready to buy. Seeing the small changes from '24 to '25, I am really glad I bought last month. This truck has been absolutely amazing so far!
Things I love:

I know nothing about the dealership. I like the salesperon I've been speaking to and my gut says he's being straight with me. With that being said, I understand I have no control over the situation. The truck will either be in the condition they promised with the deal we agreed upon, or I'll...
I wasn't aware the service truck gets 41k/41mo warranty. Dealer said warranty start date is 11/30/24, so in this case I'm getting a little extra factory warranty time.
What makes you think that it will show up? They assured me it wouldn't be reported on the Carfax and I don't see why they would report it if they don't have to?
Nebraska. They said the storm happened just before Halloween.
This is good to hear. Dealership said their entire lot was affected...
Thank you everyone for the replies. I'm going to move forward assuming the condition is as described when I go see it.
I've been lurking here for a while and have learned a ton!
$10K off with 1.9% financing and including bedliner feels like a great deal. To be fair, we negotiated at first over text. The first time we spoke on the phone was for him to say the owner wants to accept my offer, disclose the hail damage and include the bedliner. I don't believe he was trying...
Was it from hail damage? Were there a lot of dents? From the pictures they look really small and the cars black so my thought was in line with what you're saying. But another poster just said I'll see them forever... lol.
Thank you for bringing up the factory warranty. I hadn't considered that and will ask them. I do plan to buy an extended warranty so not if this matters to me.
EDIT: Warranty start date is 11/30/24. So not a concern.
