I ordered a 2025 F-150 Platinum with the 702a package and received confirmation on October 28th. Initially the build date was for the week or February 17th. I just got notice that it is now pushed out until April 7th. Ugg.
Now for the big question, do I snag a 2024 F-150 Platinum Plus and utilize the last year model incentives or wait for my 2025 to come in. I am a little concerned about the price going up and interest rates for the 2025.
To those that have gotten their 2025 Platinum, are they worth the wait? Did Ford update the technology enough to make me wait? So many questions lol

I don't think 2024 to 2025 is a huge difference tech and styling-wise. Probably the biggest change people are talking about is the keypad being deleted, which is subjective but may matter to you. A lot of people are also complaining about some of the buttons being deleted or moved around in the interior.

Personally, I went for a 2024 vs ordering a 2025 based on the changes I saw online.

I did the same. moving from a 22 King Ranch. I chose to buy a new 2024 vs 2025 due to removal of keypad and interior controls combined with cost savings.

My thoughts, opinions, & ideas on most of that..

I also have a 2025 Plat 702A on order. It was confirmed on 12/2 with a current "scheduled" date of 3/10 (I believe that when I see it). I am really not sure what causes certain peoples orders to not stay on schedule?? There is no reason why I should end up with a truck before you do... If I even do.. I understand dealer allocations and stuff, but if you were given a build date then I feel that should rarely change if ever.. ?‍♂

As far as incentives and interest rates.. your dealer should have locked in the current rates at that time. Ford had 3.9 for 36...4.9 for 48... and I think 5.9 for 60.. Ive never paid interest on a new vehicle purchase, it makes my skin crawl thinking about it.. BUT, I wanted the truck badly enough i guess. lol
So my thought was, I'll lock in the 3.9 for 36 and still own the option of taking something better if it becomes available at the time of delivery. Thats the only positive to your truck taking so long is MAYBE it will land at your dealership late enough in this year where Ford will have some new and better incentives for the 2025s and then you'll be able to switch to those from the current ones that are already locked in. You're kind of free rolling. The current Ford incentives are good through 3/31/25. So we'll see if there is anything available at all come 4/1/25.

Have you had any regrets?

no regrets. The other thing that drove me to make the 2024 versus 2025 decision was that I wanted the full recline seats. As I understand it that's not available on the 2025 at least at this time.

On the downside, I had hoped to easily add a bed camera. (actually was planning to move the bed camera for my 2022 before I sold it.) but found that contrary to reports the wiring harness in my 2024 did not support the bed camera. I think you get that on the platinum so probably not an issue for you.

Go with a '24 if you find one with the options you want. Better pricing/incentives and the '25 is essentially the same truck with less.

I went 24 due to incentives and they had one incoming that was 95% what I wanted (it was missing oem bedliner) I had to have it done aftermarket. I was worried I couldn’t get all my options but I lucked out. I love the keypad and use it so much.

I rolled the dice, I let the dealership know I was not going to take my 2025 that is on order. I found a 2024 F-150 Platinum with the 703a package, I am pretty happy with everything but the financing percentage but that is just the ways it is right now. I will refinance when the rates go back down.
