If there is nothing on the towel or chamois you don't scratch. If you ride is free of debris no scratch. Simple. What kind of filters come with leaf blowers to prevent particles hitting the surface? None. I would strongly prefer a dust blower over a leaf blower and after never seeing a scratch...
