Interior detailer spray recommendations

Just an FYI…Ford just denied a bumper-to-bumper warranty claim on my ‘23 Tremor. The black coating is chipping off the “AUTO” button on the HVAC control panel. They said it was due to “chemical reaction” to something I applied to the dash. I just use a water dampened microfiber to clean my controls so not sure how they came up with that.

This is interesting. Do you use that auto button a lot more than the other controls?

No more than the buttons on the steering wheel or the seat cooling and heat buttons. It started about a month or so after purchase as a small flake between the U and T then progressively became what you see in the photo over the next 2 years. I am not the first with this exact issue. I reached out with a PM to another contributor to this site that had it. He said Ford finally capitulated and replaced his panel after he bugged the crap out of them about it.

I’ve been trying the same approach for a month now and haven’t heard a word back from the dealership except a call from a disappointed service advisor over my review Ford asked me to do.

I had a new Mustang 6 years ago and the face on the radio was fuzzy as if contaminated and when I brought it back they said the same thing that I did it. I had the car two days. They wanted $600 to replace

I use McGuires Interior Detailer only on the dash top and door panels. Then a water-dampened microfiber cloth followed by a dry microfiber on the controls and seats. I keep this Harbor Freight soft bristle paint brush in the center console to dust the cracks and crevasses.

I use this mostly in between details and use 303 twice a year. Keep in mind with 303 the surface needs to be cleaned prior to applying it with a good interior cleaner or it doesn't last and can look spotty.

aerospace 303 every few months to restore everything, for maintenance wipe down I use griots garage interior detailer, not cleaner

I'm looking to get a bottle of something that I can keep in my truck that I can wipe down my dash, console cover, door panels etc, that will not discolor or impact the interior.

For suede, faux suede, alcantara, etc. use Sonax. It's the best I've found for that material.
