I'm just waiting on some custom parts from China, then I'll start selling my updated dock. Probably another 7-10 days. I will eventually post these on thingiverse as open source, but I need to sell a few first to recoup the development cost. It's crazy how much I spent on different USB couplers and cables to find something that worked.

Upgrades from my old version:

-- All cables and adapters included
-- 15mm lower profile
-- Short USB-C cable is mostly hidden inside the dock, no longer exposed to get snagged or damaged by hands
-- Tapered rails to help getting the front fed into the rails easier
-- Eliminated the 180 degree coupler which was the least reliable part to source
-- Reworked the actual connection to the comma. New design is easier to slide on, but fits more snuggly. integrated "ramps"make the fit tighter as the device is pushed onto the hooks.
-- Embossed arrow on the base to clearly identify where to center the dock
-- Screw together instead of glue together. Easy to replace the cable or coupler if they fail.
-- Galaxy Black ASA.

Can we just replace the comma side of things, or do we need to remove the existing window mount from your v1 to upgrade?

Unfortunately, it's a full replacement.

I'm interested in upgrading mine... have you found an easy way to get that adhesive off? heat and or chemical?

Also, what is the price and preferred payment method?

EDIT:

Also considering getting a 3d printer... thoughts?

I've seen a few articles suggesting these:

As nitro stated, truck has to be off. There are lots of things in Open/Sunny/BluePilot that you can't do while the vehicle is running.
Power off, on WiFi. Still only have Tomb Raider as an option. Tried refreshing models and clearing model cache.

In regard to my earlier post today. For what it's worth, after I got home I hooked up my OBD power to my comma 3x and was able to access the other models. I selected the FoF Liquid Crystal and it shows "pending" but never installs and then disappears. I've tried recalibrating and rebooting but it doesn't actually install and just vanishes. I'm hooked to strong wifi and the truck is powered off. I left it for an hour it it still shows pending. Once I drive the vehicle the pending disappears but it's still on the default Tomb Raider 14. I read AJZrides last post so I realize it may not be just my issue but a bigger problem. Just wanted to share what I was able to do.

Check for updates, and the model fetcher will start working again. Sunnypilot made a big change this morning, and some URLs needed updating.

Latest update on my situation. I checked for updates and once those were installed the FoF Liquid Crystal installed completely. It "strongly recommended" that I recalibrate so I attempted to do that. Unfortunately, it never moves past 0% while I drive. I then tried installing the version 16 of Tomb Raider which also installed but wouldn't calibrate past 0% either. In frustration in installed the default model, Tomb Raider 14 and it won't calibrate either? I'm thinking at this point I need to reset my Comma 3X and uninstall SunnyPilot and start from scratch again?

No, I've seen this before.

something is still not right. It fetched the model list properly but failed to install it properly. Let me keep working on it.
