Just giving an update in case it helps anyone. I was able to download the FoF Liquid Crystal model and this time it said ready instead of pending. However, it did want me to do a calibration and I tried to do that, but it never moved off of 0% again. I was able to reinstall the default Tomb Raider 14 and recalibrate that no problem. I’m up and running on that model again but for whatever reason it appears I can’t calibrate the FoF Liquid Crystal model.

It sounds like the udpate didn't properly install. I might just uninstall the software and reinstall it to ensure it gets the latest version.

Github was having issues yesterday, when I updated it was going slower than a dial up modem.

It took me a couple of restarts to fully install the update but I was able to calibrate without issue.

I just got back from a 6640 miles trip. BluePilot 3.1 the whole way. What a difference BluePilot makes! The trip was vastly more relaxing and makes it more scenic as you can look around more. On top of it all, I’d say 97% of the miles were towing a 7500 lbs travel trailer. Absolutely steady. I expected added ping pong effect from sway, but none at all. Even when a big truck would pass, the truck hardly budged. Bluecruise would not have worked at all when towing, and most of the roads I was on would not have been mapped for Bluecruise. I now see 4.0 is released so tomorrow or the next day I’ll try upgrading, but frankly, I don’t see how it can get much better. I do get an occasional Radar out message, and the message about exceeding steering limits shows up fairly frequently even though it’s within the truck’s capabilities. Except for a handful of times BluePilot always made the turn fine. Until Ford allows their encryption to be shared, I’m sticking with my 2023 Powerboost, as I’m not going to give up my BluePilot.

A) Radar errors are a known issue. Comma's solution was to remove radar from CANFD and go vision only. An unofficial poll of BluePilot users was overwhelmingly that they would rather deal with occasional radar errors than give up radar.

B) the steering limit exceeded message will be fewer in bp-4.0, but they will not be completely gone. Hopefully they will be more accurate. But there will always be times you are right on the edge of the lateral accerlation limits for hands free.

I'm just waiting on some custom parts from China, then I'll start selling my updated dock. Probably another 7-10 days. I will eventually post these on thingiverse as open source, but I need to sell a few first to recoup the development cost. It's crazy how much I spent on different USB couplers and cables to find something that worked.

Upgrades from my old version:

-- All cables and adapters included
-- 15mm lower profile
-- Short USB-C cable is mostly hidden inside the dock, no longer exposed to get snagged or damaged by hands
-- Tapered rails to help getting the front fed into the rails easier
-- Eliminated the 180 degree coupler which was the least reliable part to source
-- Reworked the actual connection to the comma. New design is easier to slide on, but fits more snuggly. integrated "ramps"make the fit tighter as the device is pushed onto the hooks.
-- Embossed arrow on the base to clearly identify where to center the dock
-- Screw together instead of glue together. Easy to replace the cable or coupler if they fail.
-- Galaxy Black ASA.

Good afternoon, just checking to see how progress is coming along on this and if you have settled on a price for the kit.

The kits are $70. I shipped all the pre orders a few minutes ago and have 5 more available This week. Should get more components next week for another batch.

Oh great! If you still have a couple available, send me details on type of payment accepted and what information you need from me.

Coming home yesterday, I got a myriad of errors. Radar faults, adaptive cruise faults (tried resetting the C3x while driving, but could not get adaptive cruise back until I was able to come to a stop and turn the truck off, then back on. Then later on, after the sun was down, I kept getting hand on wheel messages saying my face could not be seen...we don't generally drive at night, but have never noticed getting any warning about inability to recognize my face. I should also say, that these did not start until we had a very heavy rainfall. Never had any of these types of issues...I will be going out later today, but thought maybe someone would have some recommendations of what I might want to do before heading out. I will certainly post if these errors do show up again.

Did this happen while it was raining, or after it had rained? This is very common in hard rain for Ford radar to fault and require a power cycle. Even with no comma and just using stock ACC it will happen in hard rain.

Clean the front camera to make sure there are no smudges on it.

First started after the hard rain began. Things seemed mostly resolved after the restart...and then got another hard rain, and then issues began again, but never lost ability to reactivate adaptive cruise control...but then, after rain stopped was right about time it got dark...and then began the hold steering wheel/can't recognize face errors. In that I have really never had any issues, hoping when we go out today I'll find everything again normal...if not, then I'll start looking for solutions.

The radar is most likely related to the rain, the DM is completely unrelated to the radar.

I would suspect either a dirty camera , or something interfering with tbr IR camera. Any tablets or laptops in use at night?

Okay, on 4.0 for around 150 miles. It has cured the dive at the end of a curve. It now smoothly straightens out. And I’ve not had a single take control, steering overload warning. Excellent! One thing to note: with lane positioning active with it set to minus .2 at about 70 mpg, it would start a slow ping pong in a 4 second rhythm. Four seconds left four seconds right. But I’ve discovered I don’t need to adjust lane positioning. Previously it hug to the right but now it stays on center. Overall, mine is excellent!! I thought 3.1 could not be improved. I was wrong.

Hmm...no tablets or laptops, but my cell phone is often mounted just several inches away from the C3x. I'll try relocating it to the other side of the windshield.
