I'm just waiting on some custom parts from China, then I'll start selling my updated dock. Probably another 7-10 days. I will eventually post these on thingiverse as open source, but I need to sell a few first to recoup the development cost. It's crazy how much I spent on different USB couplers and cables to find something that worked.

Upgrades from my old version:

-- All cables and adapters included
-- 15mm lower profile
-- Short USB-C cable is mostly hidden inside the dock, no longer exposed to get snagged or damaged by hands
-- Tapered rails to help getting the front fed into the rails easier
-- Eliminated the 180 degree coupler which was the least reliable part to source
-- Reworked the actual connection to the comma. New design is easier to slide on, but fits more snuggly. integrated "ramps"make the fit tighter as the device is pushed onto the hooks.
-- Embossed arrow on the base to clearly identify where to center the dock
-- Screw together instead of glue together. Easy to replace the cable or coupler if they fail.
-- Galaxy Black ASA.

I'm also working on a version that could be installed on a built-right panel or stuck to the dash, but it might take a few months to work the bugs out in that one:

Put about 500 miles on 4.0 this week using a combination of OP Long and Ford ACC a few observations.

1. Every once in a while I would a get a Radar Failed, Restart Car error on the c3x, which would usually just correct itself after a few seconds. Not every drive and sometimes it would be after an hour or so of driving.
2. On curves, like highway interchanges I would almost always get a message to take over the steering wheel, because the steering exceeded limits. Any way to change the setting?
3. Coming out of turns, it would hold the steering angle a bit longer than needed requiring a correction or intervention. Which Lateral setting is this related to?
4. I noticed OPLong likes to maintain a 2s interval to the next car regardless of speed and Ford ACC uses a physical distance / scaling interval based on speed. For example at 75mph I would be 2s behind the next car, wheras on Ford ACC I would be 0.8 seconds behind the car at the same speed.

Overall its a massive improvement.

This is a known issue, comma can't solve it so they removed radar for CANFD from the software. We could do the same thing, but then all CANFD fords would either have to use vision only for ACC, or use Ford stock ACC. You couldn't use OP Long or experimental and have radar. Also it would kill the radar overlay. An unofficial poll of our users determined they would rather get random radar errors than give up radar.
2. On curves, like highway interchanges I would almost always get a message to take over the steering wheel, because the steering exceeded limits. Any way to change the setting?
No you cannot turn this off. The message is generated whenever the safety limits prevent the steering wheel from being moved the ideal amount. Sometimes it only needed to move a little more and handles the curve just fine, and sometimes it needed to move a lot and would be in the ditch if you didn't grab the wheel. But we can't turn the notification that it can't make the turn it needs to.

Please make sure you set your model to Filet o Fish Liquid Crystal. The default model is Tomb Raider and it makes a lot more rapid movements, which generate signifigantly more of those error messages.

3. Coming out of turns, it would hold the steering angle a bit longer than needed requiring a correction or intervention. Which Lateral setting is this related to?
this is the model, this is not tuning. Once again, check the model. If you are on Liquid Crystal then upload a route for me to look at.

Yes, OP Long is overly conservative. Just another reason to turn it off.

I just purchased and installed my 1st Comma 3X on my 2022 Ford F-150 Powerboost yesterday. Alan at ajzride was an enormous help, I really appreciated it. I also purchased one of his mounts, it looks and works great (Pic attached). I installed the latest bp-4.0 and it works really well but I've put about 200 miles on it and am getting the radar errors occasionally. I tried to install the Filet o Fish Liquid Crystal model but I can't install any other models. The default model Tomb Raider 14 also has the select button beside it greyed out. I'm hooked to good wifi but when I hit the refresh model list button it says "fetching latest models" but nothing happens. Sorry, I'm new to this, am I doing something wrong? Here are the images of what I'm seeing. If anyone can help it would be very much appreciated.

The release states that we should be selecting the Filet-o-fish Liquid Crystal model but the only model available is Tomb Raider. Any thoughts? Also what settings should be selected on Vibe Controller? I have a 2023 F-150. Thx.
As nitro stated, truck has to be off. There are lots of things in Open/Sunny/BluePilot that you can't do while the vehicle is running.

Thanks. I opted not to use the OBD power cable on the original install yesterday so the unit doesn't power up when my truck is turned off. I'll install that cable when I get home today. Thank you and Nitro for the information.

On the first page of the menu there is an option to "force off-road". This will allow full access to the menu. When you are done, return there and "exit offroad"
