Was arguing with a relative tonight come in for Thanksgiving week. He's a GMC guy, I'm Team Blue Oval. He asked me what about GM trucks do I wish Ford had? There really aren't many I can think of, but I came with:

1) Rear bumper corner step. I like Ford's pull out step, but there is no reason you can't do both. That is a simple feature that is useful. Wish F150 had it.

2) Duramax Diesel in the 1500. I would have gotten a 14th Gen Powerstroke if they kept making it. Even then, I think the Babymax is still better than the Ford half-ton diesel. This in my opinion is the only half-ton engine option that GM edges Ford out in.

3) Better bed lengths. Looks like the short bed for GM is about 5'8" as opposed to 5'5". I don't want a standard box,, but those 3 inches seem nice,

Really that is all I could think of....

I came from a 2015 gm to a 22 f150. I can't believe auto 4wd starts at Lariat. Gm work trucks with no carpet come with auto 4wd on 1/2 tons. That's the only thing I wish my 302a had.

I think they ruin the lines and look janky. I don’t like them on the Super Duty either. My tailgate step works great and hides away nicely. No thanks

+1 to the rear bumper corner step. Been looking for aftermarket bumpers that have it.

I also really like the Trail Boss Custom trim level. Pretty good value and great looking trucks.

The 'step' in the middle of the bumper is the same height as what a corner step would be. I do understand your reasoning though.

I keep a 2" dropdown hitch with no ball in the back corner of the bed for when my knees are acting up. Enough of a 'step' to get up on in there! lol

the seat cooling on my 18 Sierra is far superior to my Powerboost. Same goes for the GMC Bose sound system compared to BO Unleashed. I also prefer the Sierras column shifter and center console over Fords cheap shifter and console. Like others have said, I do like the corner step. Also my Sierra has only been in the shop for one recall for about an hour plus normal consumables like oil changes, tires, breaks over 6 years. My F150 has been in the shop for over 9 months total over 2.5 years.

Just bought an XLT, 302a, FX4 with only 3k miles on it. Love the truck but what is with all the dash rattles? The Chevy that I traded in, didn't have that issue.

On the seat heaters, I miss being able to have select back/seat or just seat. Also miss having to only push one button on the dash for controlling dash or floor blower. Pushing a button on the dash to bring it up on the screen, then pushing more buttons to control where the heat or ac blows is a bit more distracting while driving. Also miss the steering wheel heat button on the steering wheel. Corner bumper step was nice too.

In addition to the 4WD auto, I also miss the auto climate control from my 2015 Silverado. My F150 has auto climate control, but it doesn't work nearly as well.

I like the GM analog clock display vs. digital 09:33. Wish Ford had the option to pick analog vs. digital. Agree on the corner bump step.
1000% the digital layout and look it soooo cheap and cluttered.

I have a base tremor and always wanted the digi gauges.

However…….im currently stuck in a lariat rental with the digital gauges and these are video game horseshit! Super glad I have the og needles

This may be out of bounds, but the thing that I most want is a Dodge feature: a knob gear selector. Give me my center console back. The mode select knob already does this, so maybe use buttons to prevent confusion, but anything to be rid of the shift lever.

It's kinda funny thats the feature I dislike about most vehicles I much prefer the console shifter.

If my truck had a little twisty dial to put it in gear, I guess I’d have to hang my purse on it and walk away….just my .02

I do like the functionality of a corner bumper step for sure. Any factory or aftermarket drop down corner step is just another piece that can snag and rip off on the trail for me unfortunately
