The folding shifter won’t come up when pushing button.
Any ideas on how to release it and pull shifter up?

So the truck is now disabled and cannot move? You're in Park and can't get out.The folding shifter won’t come up when pushing button.

Yep, been saying for two years the console shifter is gimmicky. I feel I'm going to break it every time I have to touch it. A rotary gear selector in place of the backup thing would have been my preference. This is actually an issue that Ford should have addressed with the work surface feature. Old tech gear shifters are already overly complex and then add more complexity to the device is moving in the wrong direction.
Push button shifting is what they should have used for the work surface feature and IMHO Ford should make the work surface a Ford F-150 signature feature of the truck and just give it to any truck without the bench seat.

I'd rather they didn't.Ford should make the work surface a Ford F-150 signature feature of the truck and just give it to any truck without the bench seat.
Hey guys. In another post someone mentioned removing battery cables but I put the charger on it.Drop a viagra down the opening.
Yes, the truck cranked just fine before charger. Everything else worked too. Just the folding shifter would not come up.Good! The truck was off then? I figured you started it and the shifter wouldn't move. Did you try just starting the truck before putting a charger on it?
yes my old gutter mind had a few thoughts as wellMust resist snarky comment. Must resist! ?
I feel like a charge counts as viagraHey guys. In another post someone mentioned removing battery cables but I put the charger on it.
Charged from 9 amps to 2.5 and pressed the shifter lift button and it came up. Going to get to dealer for diagnostic and battery replacement. This is new truck 3500 miles.
Truck did not need the Viagra. ?
Thanks for the help.
