Yea, your truck is on Sync 20301 which is one of the broken Sync versions. Pending updates are below and the first APIM update is there showing. You can fix it, but you will need a Mongoose, FDRS and a patience.

Yea, your truck is on Sync 20301 which is one of the broken Sync versions. Pending updates are below and the first APIM update is there showing. You can fix it, but you will need a Mongoose, FDRS and a patience.

Step one is to update the APIM. You need FDRS to get you the files you need to put on a USB drive that you do need to insert into the truck and leave there for a few weeks to a month until the update decides to kick off. It's the only way to update the APIM. You can do the other updates that are there without waiting, but the APIM itself is a process. Once the APIM is updated , it will release more updates for the GWM, TCU, IPC and APIM that you will need to do one by one until no more pop up. At that point, you will be up to date. Your truck is pretty much worse case scenario when it comes to updates. Again: It can be fixed, but you will need patience.

And if you can afford the $575 Mongoose Ford2 OPUS IVS wired adapter, I’d suggest you buy it. I did. Yes there are threads on here that allow you to borrow it temporarily (rugedraw is again the man on this too) but since you’ll be needing it a few separate times a few weeks or a month apart each time to finally get through all your “whack a mole” updates (again riding around awaiting the APIM to finally figure out weeks later when it wants to install off of the USB), I think you’ll grow tired of requesting it and shipping it back and forth.

Working updating my sons 2021 F150 platinum. The audio(ACM) and DSP will not update. along with the BCM.( I know BCM cannot)
Any tip[s on the ACM and DSP? It does all the progress. Writing blocks etc but still shows on the list??? Tried them both like 5 times.

Also his Sync update is 22xxx. 24 is not showing up?? I assume would be under an APIM update. That did not display as a software update.
Rugedraw - you have my Sons 2021 platti vin. Under Bowtye8 DM.

I don't have access to FDRS now. Please remove the VIN from the post and message it to me and I will check later when I get home.

22293 is lower than 23187, so it is possible that it was there before and Ford pulled it as per the SSM.

After getting logged into FDRS for the first time, I'm happy to report updates are moving along. It's on the IPMA update now and I'm in the AC using Remote Desktop to monitor the progress. (y)

What is the consensus of the forum for performing the BCM update? I thought I read here the BCM update requires a dealer login so I thought of skipping it. Please advise if it's ok to proceed.

I am going to apply the APIM update because the revision is higher than the version Ford identified with potential problems. The APIM in the truck was replaced under warranty to a revised version. I don't think it'll be a problem so I'll go forward with the update unless advised differently.

You can certainly try the BCM. Depending on how far behind your BCM is, you might have an older update that doesn’t require a dealer login, and you could get one step newer. If there is another BCM after you run an update, keep trying. It won’t hurt to try BCM, you just won’t get past the login screen WHEN it shows up.

Is it an option to try and perform the tsb 22-2404. I was able to download the update to the usb however the truck never did any of the other steps indicated by fdrs. It never said do not remove the usb nor did it ever say restart needed? Just do not want to waste a month waiting for nothing. I saw one video where someone performed the TSB and was able to get it completely updated in a couple of hours.
