Yes, the VCM3 is faster than a Mongoose.

You will need to run a PMI of the IPMA. When FDRS asks you if it is the original module, select no. That will recover the IPMA and update it at the same time.
Thanks rugedraw…it took about 2 hours , but all is good.

Has anyone not been able to update the GWM? I get to the part where you insert the usb stick into the truck and nothing happens. I have tried 3 different usb sticks as well. I had updates for the PCM, CMR, DDM GSM, HCM, PDM, PSCM, ACM, TRM, and WACM. All of these update just fine.

Has anyone not been able to update the GWM? I get to the part where you insert the usb stick into the truck and nothing happens. I have tried 3 different usb sticks as well. I had updates for the PCM, CMR, DDM GSM, HCM, PDM, PSCM, ACM, TRM, and WACM. All of these update just fine.
Does it recognize the USB at all? Do you see "USB indexing" when you first pop it in?

Try disconnecting the battery for 20 minutes and try the USB again.

It won't prevent OTAs, but there may be other updates behind that one that won't release until the GWM is updated.

Taking my truck into the dealer next week, is there something that "the dealer" needs to update for me that I cannot do? I would hate to miss the opportunity for them to do it and it is preventing my other updates from happening.

The only update that cannot be done with FDRS without a dealer login is the BCM, but that will not create a bottleneck for other updates to not be able to install.

OK thanks, the BCM was on the list you gave me. So I guess I will ask them to address it.

That version is way too old and most likely no longer works. I am using an older version than the most current and was not able to do it. I am on 43.x.x; don't remember exactly which one.

I got the GWM updated(didn't take too long) now there is an update for the TCU, is that a long one?
