Yeah, that can really bite ya in the ass especially on the IPMA.Turn off all your computer power saving options so it doesn't go to sleep during a long update.
Do you know what sync version you were on?Can anyone help? Currently at the dealer with my mechanic friend and we’ve been applying all sorts of updates to me 21’ PB. Everything except the APIM update has completed. My revision number is blank and whenever we insert the flash drive formatted properly, the USB port does not detect anything. We tried inserting it into the usb c port with a usb A adapter, this detected the drive, says ‘indexing usb drive, indexing usb drive complete’ and then nothing happens and we seem to be at a dead end. Can anyone chime in before we just warranty replace the APIM all together? Thanks

Couldn’t find the exact version but it was on revision 243 last night before we updated the IPMA. After the update, the revision number is now blank. My friend is a 14yr certified master tech and we can’t seem to get the APIM to update via USB. Just ruling out every possibility before we replace the APIM under warrantyDo you know what sync version you were on?

Ok if your truck is a 21 Job 1 just leave the usb stick in the truck at all times, forget about FDRS for now and drive the truck until it installs. It could be a day it could be 3 weeks. My 21 took 15 days to install. You don't need an APIM. Please post your vin.Couldn’t find the exact version but it was on revision 243 last night before we updated the IPMA. Yes your a Job 1 truck your apim was stuck. Drive it for a week with the usb stick in at all times it will eventually install, once you get past this you can update as normal Agian with FDRS.Here’s the VIN 1FTFW1ED5MFB37013
Interesting… I will try that. Everything was formatted correctly on the drive, although I did shorten the drive name to just ‘USB’ I will leave it in the usb c adapted port and hopefully it will update while it’s sittingBooostin…Yes what Big Dog Daddy said. Some people drove around for a few weeks before their APIM updated and it just happened one day and nobody knows why-days, weeks later.
Also make sure your volume label that you’ve called the USB when you formatted it is four characters or less. Long names can cause issues.
You need to reformat the USB drive (quick format is fine, exFat) or at least delete all the files off of it between all of the updates.
