ECU module programming guide using FDRS

I would try running the ABS update again.

Ran the ABS update a few more times, I never really see it install anything, just updating configuration, and crap like that. Maybe it did the update the first time and it's recognizing that it's doesn't need to install anything. Dunno.

PSCM still shows unresponsive when I first start FDRS, but seems fine after a self test.

I performed the TSB, and I see the active guide lines, whereas before starting it, I didn't. I also did a 360 cam relearn for the heck of it.

Also appears my clore charger crapped out on me. I think the internal fan may have died and its tripping the overtemp circuit because it just keeps switching between charging and complete every few seconds. This was a recent thing, at the very end of the day. I know my modules were updated with 13.9-14.1v because I kept a very close eye on it.

It seems, at least for now, there's no more software to be had. But on the bright side, BC 1.4 is working great! Thanks @JScaro and @rugedraw!

IPMA/PSCM are a combo and usually 3-4 hours. GWM and APIM can be slow too. The rest look pretty small.

I’m in the process of updating my truck via fdrs at the moment and I’ve had several modules that fail saying module configuration failed or something like that… specifically the gwm. I purchased the truck used and I have no idea if the previous owner made any forscan changes or not. Is there a way that I can go into forscan and get the as built data and reload it and do you think this is causing the problem?
FYI it is a 2021 raptor

Ok, good to go. Seems like hitch assist does not play nicely with the new IPMA software and the hybrid trucks. Jesse thought it may have something to do with that when I asked him about it. BC 1.whatever this is works fine.

what did you end up having to change to fix this? i have a 21 PB that I just got back from the dealer today after not having it since May so i’m itching to get it updated. I see you mentioned hitch assist. I made the changes to try to get that working awhile back so i’m guessing i would be impacted by this.

I wouldn't assume that the previous owner making Forscan edits is the reason you are having issues in FDRS.

Especially the GWM.

How's your voltage?

you really need a unit with power supply mode, not charge/maintain.

No the just a box saying that the module configuration failed and asked me if I wanted to retry… which I did and got the same result…

Okay… not sure what the problem you are having but you can’t do any changes with the GWM in FORScan I don’t think.

Edit: do you have any DTCs on the GWM

i don’t really need the hitch assist. I only enabled it because I could. Haven’t used it once since. Would just need to figure out what changes I made because it’s been awhile
