ECU module programming guide using FDRS

In case anyone ever runs into this issue (as I know some in the past have) here are steps to take if your Ford Account gets suspended when using FDRS:

First inkling on if your Ford account was suspended from using FDRS is 2 things:

1. You will attempt to login and get an error that says "Too many login attempts. Please try again later. " even if this is the first time you have tried to login.
2. You will receive an email from FORD saying your account has been suspended:
   
   

I called the number listed in the email. It did me no good. After over two weeks of contacting ford I finally found someone who knew what needed to be done.

You have to contact the technical team via the motorcraft site. They do not have a phone number you can call for this specific issue. You have to head here https://www.motorcraftservice.com/Feedback/feedback and click the blue button at the bottom of the screen that says "Request for Other Help". You then fill out a form for the issue of your account being suspended.

Like a dummy I used an account that had ford pass points and I did not want to lose them. The technical team will email you back on steps you have to take in order to get your account back. Once I followed them, they told me I was activated. You then go to Ford to login and hit forgot password as your password has to be reset. Once reset, you are back in...

I am sure this will help a few folks.

Being outside of US, I have tried the exact same steps as you did on the motor craft website but they aren’t too helpful once they see I am outside USA.

That is exactly the same as SSM 52574.

So I performed the steps in this TSB and the 360 degree camera calibration completed successfully (the truck does have 360 degree cameras) with forscan but I still get the reverse brake assist not available message and tsb says " If any DTC's persist, continue with Workshop Manual (WSM), Section 419-07 diagnostic procedures." Where would I be able to find that section 419-07 online? I did the other calibrations for rear camera and trailer separately and those passed too but the error still persists

That section is huge. What is the exact code you want to trouble shoot?

Edit: Just saw code B1578:78 in the SSM you posted. Is your truck reporting that code? That is an SSM and not a TSB.

I've gotten reverse brake assist unavailable multiple times after FDRS sessions and it usually goes away within 48 hours. It seems to be a self-calibration it goes through sometimes. I probably wouldn't invest any effort into the issue unless it doesn't go away by itself.

it's been on for a while now, didn't used to pop up when the truck was new. I didn't do any updating of any kind to make it pop up, it just started one day randomly, no prior work done. Same error and code came up on my brother's 21 f150 raptor too and his is unable to get the 360 camera aligned, it quits early with forscan when the process does go through on mine. No issues with cameras or anything else though, just that brake assist error when backing up is all.

Not sure, but my truck reports that code every now and then (as w too, and there's nothing wrong with it. If your truck is not giving any problems, I would ignore it. That's what I do on mine.

Reverse Brake assist doesn't work which is why I'm going down this road and led to those codes. Codes from previous picture slowly come back over time but not right away.

Ah gotcha. I have mine turned off.....I don't like it.

I am not sure what direction to point you in, but I did in search in PTS for B1578 and it pops up in section 413-13B of the workshop manual. See attached. The code is referenced toward the bottom and calls for the 360 alignment to be done which I know you did. I guess skim through it and see if you find anything helpful.

FYI ... in case anyone is looking for Workshop Manual or Wiring. It's not perfect but better than nothing. Let me know if this breaks any forum rules.
